Al Roker, the beloved *Today* show weatherman, has shared exciting news with his followers: 

his daughter, Leila Roker, is officially engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Sylvain Gricourt. 

The couple’s engagement announcement was shared by Al on Instagram on Sunday, 

where he expressed his joy and excitement for the couple’s future together.

In his post, Al, 70, wrote, “Well, it is now official. @gricourt.thegreat has proposed to my little girl, @leilaroker in the romantic city of Venice.” 

He added, “We could not be happier, and look forward to planning for these two wonderful young folks coming together.” 

It’s clear that Al, alongside his wife, ABC News journalist Deborah Roberts, is overjoyed about the milestone in their daughter’s life.

Leila, 26, also shared the happy news on her Instagram, where she gushed about the proposal. “8 years ago, I moved to Paris 🇫🇷, 7 years ago I met my person and best friend 💖, and 2 days ago, that person took me on the most amazing surprise trip to Venice 🇮🇹 to ask me to spend the rest of our lives together 💍 💕💕.” Leila’s heartfelt message was accompanied by a beautiful carousel of engagement photos, showcasing her excitement about the proposal and the picturesque city of Venice, where Sylvain popped the question.
