A source said he was “ready to move on” weeks after The Sun revealed the couple are separating.
They added: “Eamonn is determined to look forward.”
The telly news host, who has suffered years of poor health, was this week seen using a walking aid to get back to his car.
We revealed last month that telly golden couple Eamonn and wife Ruth Langsford were getting divorced after 14 years of marriage.
A source who saw the GB News presenter, accompanied by a driver,
outside a barber shop in South West London on Wednesday said: “Eamonn was literally putting his best foot forward.
“It’s been a tough spell but he’s done with moping about and decided to cheer himself up with a short back and sides.
“The end of a marriage is tough for anyone but Eamonn is determined to look forward.
“Life is for living. And he’s determined to try whatever is required to get back on his feet.”
And earlier this week there was good news for the star when he was nominated for a Television and Radio Industries Club award.
Eamonn’s marriage woes came as he struggled with mobility issues after years of pain.
The Belfast-born anchor had a double hip replacement in 2016.
He had back surgery last year but it left him using a wheelchair. And in January he broke his shoulder in a fall.
Last weekend The Sun on Sunday revealed Ruth and Eamonn separated after she found messages between him and another woman on a laptop.
He has become close friends with a divorcee of 42 who works as a relationship counsellor — and has now moved out of the marital home in Surrey.
Ruth is on an extended break from ITV’s Loose Women as she deals with the split.
Eamonn and Ruth jointly presented ITV’s flagship show This Morning until 2021.
He now hosts GB News with Isabel Webster.
