Anne Hathaway emotionally discusses her nearly one-year-old second child: ‘He’s ill, less intelligent but resilient’ (video)

When it comes to her private life, Anne Hathaway prefers to keep everything private.

The actress is so discreet about her privacy that she waited almost a year to reveal the name of her second son, whom she named Jack .

“Now I have a beautiful almost 11-month-old boy, with whom I was pregnant when I filmed The Witches , so he is in all the scenes,”

She revealed during an interview with the Live with Kelly and Ryan program , while promoting the film.

Hathaway found out that the baby was on the way just before filming began, which led her to have to negotiate with the costumer, Joanna Johnston.

Some of the outfits she would wear in the film. “She told me: ‘I want you to have a very small waist.’

I had just found out that I was pregnant, so I told her: ‘no, I don’t think that could be it.’ ‘?’, and I tried to find excuses like: ‘you know, I know myself,’ and I rambled on without giving him any concrete reason.”

“In the end I told her: ‘I simply know myself and I know that I will not be so free if there is something that constantly squeezes me around the waist. Let’s better do everything half loose,” she continued with her story, already laughing.

The 37-year-old actress also briefly revealed what things are like today at home with her husband, jewelry designer Adam Shulman, and their two children: Jonathan, four years old, and Jack, almost one .

“He doesn’t confront him, it’s pure love,” he said about how the eldest treats the youngest. “Now Jack is big enough to throw himself on him, and that brought a new element to their relationship, which is very sweet.”

Although Hathaway never confirmed the birth of her second child, in December 2019 she was seen walking with her husband and carrying a baby carrier, so it was speculated that Jack had been born at the beginning of that month.

It was in July 2019 that the actress took to her social media to tell the world that she was pregnant. “It’s not for a movie (…) Jokes aside, for those who go through infertility and hell to conceive, know that it was not a straight line for any of my pregnancies, I send you lots of love,” expressed in an honest post.
