Anne Hathaway keeps expanding Prime Video’s movie collection as the actress’ other highly anticipated project has finally landed on the streaming platform.
Following the official release of the brand new romcom The Idea of You starring Hathaway as a single mother falling in love with the world’s hottest boy band leader,
a psychological thriller Mothers’ Instinct may have all chances to prove how versatile Hathaway’s acting path can be.
Is Mothers’ Instinct Worth Watching?
Based on Barbara Abel’s 2012 novel of the same name, Mothers’ Instinct also stars Jessica Chastain in one of the leading roles and follows two next-door neighbors and best friends Céline
and Alice living a comfortable suburban life and raising sons of the same age sometime in the 1960s.
When one of their kids dies in an accident, both mothers start going crazy as they now suspect each other of malicious intentions.
Upon its release back in March, Mothers’ Instinct was received relatively well by the critics, ending up with an average score of 55% on Rotten Tomatoes. Throughout the movie’s whole run, the storyline might in fact make the viewer go nuts alongside the main characters as the plot twists take turns teasing all the possibilities for the further events to go in radically different directions.
Despite all the intrigue that the movie tries to hold all along, Mothers’ Instinct was still significantly criticized for its ending’s bluntness that eventually makes all truly compelling elements from the opening scenes sink into oblivion.
How to Stream Mothers’ Instinct, Exactly?
The brand new eerie thriller can now be digitally purchased or rented on Prime Video, but only in the UK. The movie’s arrival at the streaming is followed by its theatrical run that kicked it off in the UK and Ireland on March 27.
Aside from the UK’s Prime Video, Mothers’ Instinct can be purchased or rented from iTunes or Microsoft Store.
