Asher regrets not being able to sing for his father during ‘The Voice’ finale due to Reba’s intervention. What did she do?

“The Voice” crowned its season 25 winner Tuesday night.

During the two-night finale, the remaining five contestants − Asher HaVon, Karen Waldrup, Josh Sanders, Nathan Chester and Bryan Olesen − battled it out Monday.

Each performing an up-tempo song and a ballad. Then, they took the stage Tuesday for a series of performances, including duets with their respective coaches.

HaVon, from Team Reba McEntire, was crowned “The Voice” season 25 winner, earning the coveted $100,000 prize and a record deal with Universal Music Group.

Olesen of Team Legend was declared second runner-up after HaVon’s teammate Josh Sanders.

Chester came in fourth place with coach John Legend. Waldrup, from Team Dan + Shay, came in fifth place.

HaVon is a 31-year-old artist from Selma, Alabama. His singing is influenced by a unique blend of R&B, pop and soul.

According to NBC, former President Barack Obama attended a 50th anniversary event for the 1965 Selma to Montgomery march. HaVon was the choir leader who performed at the 200,000-person event.

During his blind audition, HaVon earned a three-chair turn from Chance the Rapper, Reba McEntire and Dan + Shay for his cover of Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain.” HaVon chose McEntire as his coach.

According to his NBC bio, HaVon has always had a complicated relationship with his father. But his performance at the 50th-anniversary event was a real turning point for their relationship.

His father also survived a car accident a couple years ago, which brought them even closer. They now reportedly talk regularly, and he greatly supports HaVon’s music.
