During their interview with Good Morning Britain hosts Richard Madeley and Kate Garraway, Karen and Gorka were quizzed about their potential return for the next season of Strictly. 

When Richard pressed Karen on whether she would be part of the 2025 line-up, she responded with a knowing smile but refused to give a definitive answer.

Sensing an opportunity, Richard playfully remarked, “I’ll take that as a yes.” However, Kate pushed further, asking, “Oh, you’re not sure? You don’t know?”

Karen, still keeping her cards close to her chest, replied, “I can’t say. I don’t know!”

Meanwhile, Gorka, who has been a professional on Strictly for several years, weighed in on the uncertainty surrounding their future on the show. Referring to the programme’s producers, he said, “Only they know.”

“The feeling is that the Strictly troupe is made up of some fading stars, while others are rising stars. And in many cases, there are certain characters whose shoes can easily be filled with younger, up-and-coming counterparts,” the source explained.

This speculation was seemingly validated when Strictly pro Nadiya Bychkova became the first professional dancer to exit the show. Neil Jones and Karen Hauer reportedly followed soon after, while Katya Jones made it to Blackpool Week before being eliminated alongside her celebrity partner, Wynne Evans.

“Of the five names in the mix, almost all of them went out in the first half of the series, which is very much seen as a landmark point for Strictly,” the insider continued.
