Beyoncé sobbed on stage and thanked her fans in Texas for welcoming her in this special way

She’s one of one — she’s No. 1!

On Thursday, Beyoncé returned to her home state of Texas for the Arlington stop of her Renaissance World Tour.

“It feels so good to be home,” the Grammy winner, 42, told the Dallas-area audience at AT&T Stadium, which erupted into thunderous applause after she opened the show with her 2003 track “Dangerously in Love.” “I’m a Texas girl.”

Shortly after, she added: “Tonight is gonna be a good night.”

Indeed, it was for this editor, who watched the show from the famed AT&T suite at AT&T Stadium.

Throughout the night, Queen Bey effectively turned the venue into a nightclub (mirrorball included!) as she made her way through a comprehensive set list that was centered around her beloved 2022 dance album Renaissance.

While she performed most all of the tracks from the record — which blended disco, house and ballroom beats — Bey also incorporated an impressive selection of hits from her prolific catalog, including “Formation,” “Run the World (Girls),” “Crazy in Love” and “Naughty Girl.”

As she has done at several other tour stops, Beyoncé invited a special guest to hit the stage with her in Arlington: her 11-year-old daughter, “the legendary Blue Ivy Carter,” as her proud mom introduced her.

Blue joined Bey’s dancers onstage to dance along to “My Power,” “Black Parade” and Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright” as dad JAY-Z, 53, watched from the crowd.

Before Beyoncé wrapped the show with “Summer Renaissance” — her euphoric album ender that samples Donna Summer’s iconic disco hit “I Feel Love” — she thanked the AT&T Stadium crowd for their “good old Southern hospitality.”

And Bey’s homecoming has just begun. This weekend, she’ll return to her native Houston to play back-to-back shows at NRG Stadium.

Since launching the Renaissance World Tour in May, Bey has shattered records, including scoring the biggest one-month gross in Billboard Boxscore history, raking in $127.6 million in July.
