Beyoncé subtly referenced the Grammys in her new song (video)

In her illustrious music career, Beyoncé has been continuously honored with a series of prestigious awards. Of course, the Grammy is indispensable.

Up to now, the “Halo” singer is the artist who has won the most Grammy awards in history, but her list of achievements is still lacking the “Album of the Year” trophy.

This afternoon (March 29), Beyoncé has just released her eighth studio album titled “Cowboy Carter”.

The project includes 27 songs, of which the track “Sweet Honey Buckiin” (featuring Shaboozey) attracts attention with its somewhat special lyrics.

Specifically, Beyoncé mentioned that she has never won the “Album of the Year” award, as a gentle reminder to the Grammy organizers.

This is a rare time for the singer to express her attitude.

Although she has been nominated many times, Beyoncé has never won this important category. The albums that the female singer has released such as “Beyoncé”, “Lemonade” or “Renaissance” although they have created a big buzz, are highly appreciated for their artistic value and have achieved commercial success, but they cannot help her reach the gold-plated record player. This makes many people wonder, including her husband Jay-Z.

At the 66th Grammy Awards ceremony that took place in early February this year, Jay-Z was named in the “Dr. Dre Global Impact Award” category. However, in his celebratory speech, he expressed his anger at the Organizing Committee for never giving his wife Beyoncé the “Album of the Year” award even though she deserved it.

On stage, Jay-Z was dissatisfied: “I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammy awards than anyone else, but she has never won “Album of the Year”. Is this too unreasonable? How is this award ceremony working? When comparing the data, the results are not reasonable at all. Please reconsider.” Last year, Jay-Z also disagreed when the album “Renaissance” missed out on an important award.

However, Beyoncé continues to create unique and influential musical works. The latest album “Cowboy Carter” continues to prove that. The name Beyoncé has always been an undeniable symbol in the international music scene.
