Beyoncé expressed gratitude to Jay-Z and their kids, calling Jay-Z her rock and best friend, while receiving the innovator award at the iHeart Radio Music Awards.

She thanked her “3 beautiful children” for being her inspiration and blessing.

Beyoncé, 42, married Jay-Z, 54, in 2008, and they share three children: Blue Ivy, born in 2012, and twins Rumi and Sir, born in 2017.

She also acknowledged the innovators who influenced her career, including Stevie Wonder, as she accepted the award.

Dressed in a Western-themed black leather Versace outfit, Beyoncé paid tribute to those who defied labels, thanking them for paving the way for her success.

She specifically mentioned artists like Rosetta Tharp, Tracy Chapman, and Prince.

The iHeart Radio Music Awards recognized Beyoncé’s achievements shortly after she released her eighth album, “Cowboy Carter,”

Which features collaborations with legendary artists like Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson.

Beyoncé revealed that she decided to record “Cowboy Carter” after feeling unwelcome in the country music scene following her performance at the 2016 CMA Awards.

She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to create music without preconceived notions.

During her acceptance speech, Beyoncé addressed the backlash she’s faced for crossing genres, emphasizing the importance of executing one’s dreams despite challenges and criticism.

She highlighted the mental strength required to innovate and the importance of leaning on faith, trusting that one’s efforts will be guided by a higher power.

Beyoncé encouraged openness to enjoying art without predetermined judgments, urging record labels, radio stations, and awards shows to embrace the joy and liberation that comes from artistic expression.
