Beyonce’s newly launched fashion brand reached a revenue milestone of $1 billion after releasing a collection inspired by her album Cowboy Carter (video)

This is great news for companies that make cowboy boots—the iconic footwear of America—as well as items that follow the “Wild West” aesthetic.

The album “Cowboy Carter” marked the breakthrough in the music career of singer Beyoncé. Even before the full album was released,

Circana recorded a surge in search and sales of cowboy boots thanks to the two singles “Texas Hold ’Em” and “16 Carriages.”

In fact, earlier this year, Louis Vuitton launched its American Western line during Paris Fashion Week,

featuring a variety of designs inspired by the American West, such as cowboy hats and bolo ties.

Country style has also gained traction with Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour, with many fans recreating the singer’s early career as a country singer.

And of course, the trend hasn’t gone unnoticed by retailers and industry experts.

One of the most talked about names is Boot Barn, a footwear company that has seen impressive sales in its women’s boots category.

Williams Trading analyst Sam Poser said he has upgraded the stock and raised his price target on the retailer to $113 per share, representing an upside of about 12%.

Adding to the momentum for the cowboy fashion segment is the busy start to the US horse racing and music festival season. Given these positive trends, Sam Poser expects Boot Barn’s current-quarter and full-year 2024 revenue to beat Wall Street estimates. Boot Barn shares have risen more than 4% since the beginning of April, despite a broader market decline. That’s helped fuel a rally in the stock over the past four months, when it’s up about 30% since the start of the year.

It’s not just cowboy boots that are getting the attention, but a variety of other Western-style products as well.

Levi Strauss CEO Michelle Gass told analysts earlier this month that the company is still working to secure the brand’s status as a beacon of American culture and fashion. And of course, Levi’s influence has been proven by Beyoncé’s album featuring Post Malone, titled “Levi’s Jeans.”

“I think there is no better testament to that than Beyoncé, an icon of contemporary music and culture, naming a song after our brand,” Michele Gass emphasized.

Gass also noted that country style is indeed trending, including in fashion and music.
