Brianna LaPaglia is embracing a new chapter in her life after her highly publicized breakup with country singer Zach Bryan.

While the split took an emotional toll on her, the influencer and podcast host recently shared that she’s had an unexpected experience in the dating world
—her DMs have been flooded with messages from women asking her out.
Moving Forward After a Public Breakup

LaPaglia, known to fans as “Chickenfry,” has been candid about how difficult the breakup was for her,

admitting she was “completely blindsided” when Bryan publicly announced their split.

Since then, she has openly discussed the healing process, including the challenges of moving on and the pressure of dealing with heartbreak in the public eye.
In a recent interview, the 25-year-old revealed that, despite feeling emotionally unavailable,
she has received an overwhelming amount of attention from potential suitors—especially from women. “There were actually some kind of famous women reaching out to me, and I was like, ‘What? I didn’t even know you were gay,’” she said, reflecting on the surprise of being approached by well-known figures.
While she has identified as bisexual in the past, LaPaglia admitted that dating women is something she hasn’t fully explored yet. “I feel like I’m late to the game, and it’s really intimidating,” she confessed. “I’m 25, and I’m going to go on my first date with a girl? Everyone in New York is a lesbian, so they’ve been doing it forever.”
Not Ready to Date—Yet
Despite the influx of romantic interest, LaPaglia isn’t in a rush to start a new relationship. She acknowledged that while she’s met some “really great guys” who seem like a good match, she isn’t in the right headspace to pursue anything serious at the moment.

“I feel so emotionally unavailable, which is a little upsetting,” she admitted. “I can’t even fathom the idea of letting someone in right now.”
Instead of jumping into the dating scene, she’s focusing on self-care and adjusting to life post-breakup. She has expressed a desire for a future relationship with someone outside of the entertainment industry, saying, “I just want a normal person that can laugh with me, and someone that understands my life, but isn’t in the same realm.”
A Relationship in the Public Eye
LaPaglia and Bryan first crossed paths at the Country Music Awards in May 2023, and their relationship quickly became a hot topic among fans. They confirmed their romance on her PlanBri Uncut podcast and later celebrated their one-year anniversary in July 2024. However, just a few months later, their relationship ended, with Bryan publicly announcing their breakup in October.
Since then, Bryan has remained largely silent on the matter, while LaPaglia has been more open about the emotional fallout. In various interviews and social media posts, she has spoken about the difficulty of healing while under public scrutiny.
“Sometimes I wish I didn’t have to share anything and that I could have just healed and dealt with things privately,” she said. “But those weren’t the cards I was dealt.”

Taking Time to Heal
Four months after the split, LaPaglia admits that she’s still dealing with emotional aftershocks. “I still have really bad days, and I still have PTSD,” she revealed. “So, who knows how long it’ll take?”
While she isn’t actively looking for a new relationship, she’s leaving the door open for future possibilities—whenever she feels ready. Whether she eventually explores dating women or finds someone who meets her criteria for a “normal” relationship, she’s taking things at her own pace.
For now, LaPaglia is focused on herself, embracing her independence, and navigating life post-breakup on her own terms.
