Britain’s Got Talent viewers complain to Ofcom as disgusting act ‘shouldn’t be allowed on TV’

Britain’s Got Talent Viewers Complain to Ofcom Over ‘Disgusting’ Act That ‘Shouldn’t Be Allowed on TV’

Britain’s Got Talent is well-known for its jaw-dropping and sometimes bizarre performances,

but a recent act has left viewers more shocked than ever, with many taking their complaints directly to Ofcom.

Fans of the long-running ITV talent show were left disgusted after witnessing what they are calling the most stomach-churning act in the show’s history.

Auzzy Blood’s Controversial Performance

The latest episode of Britain’s Got Talent saw judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli confronted with an act that tested their limits—

and the stomachs of viewers at home. The performer in question, Auzzy Blood, is no ordinary contestant.

A professional sword swallower and body manipulation expert, Auzzy’s act involved an array of extreme stunts that left the audience horrified.

Making a dramatic entrance with eerie music, Auzzy revealed a gothic clown-like appearance before launching into his performance. Without saying a word, the three-time Guinness World Record holder stunned the judges with a series of gruesome stunts, including shoving a large twisted metal spike up his nose and down through his mouth.

Amanda Holden shrieked in horror, while Simon Cowell, who usually maintains a composed demeanor, visibly recoiled in disgust. As Auzzy twisted the spike inside his nose, the audience gasped, grimaced, and even turned away.

Pushing Boundaries—Too Far?

If that wasn’t unsettling enough, Auzzy then took things a step further. He inserted a plastic tube up his nose and down his throat, inviting Simon to take a sip from the other end. Much to the shock of hosts Ant and Dec, who screamed in disbelief, Simon actually went through with it.

The final part of Auzzy’s act involved an even more extreme stunt—he hooked himself onto a rope using only his mouth and lifted himself toward the ceiling. The judges and audience members were left open-mouthed, with Amanda and Alesha unable to watch.

Despite the collective horror, the act secured four yeses from the judges. Bruno Tonioli praised Auzzy’s performance, calling it “a new art form.” Simon Cowell, still reeling from his participation in the act, admitted, “This was one of my favorite acts of the day, genuinely.” Amanda, who was visibly shaken, reluctantly voted yes, joking, “I’m going to say yes because I’m too terrified to say no.”

Viewer Backlash and Ofcom Complaints

While the judges may have been intrigued, many viewers were outraged, believing the act crossed the line of acceptable prime-time entertainment. Social media was flooded with complaints, with some calling the performance “disgusting” and “inappropriate for television.”

One user on X (formerly Twitter), @CarolWa36420825, tagged Ofcom, writing, “Auzzy Blood on BGT was disgusting, not entertainment, pre-watershed and a terrible example to children watching a supposed family show.” Another viewer, @Lynndynes, echoed these concerns: “That act was disgusting and should not have been put on TV at prime time when children will be watching.”

Other viewers, while disturbed, acknowledged the uniqueness of the performance. One fan, @superTV247, admitted, “I physically convulsed at this. Singlehandedly the worst thing and simultaneously the most impressive thing I have ever seen on this show.”

Auzzy Blood’s Talent Show Legacy

Auzzy Blood is no stranger to reality TV competitions. The stunt performer has appeared on America’s Got Talent, Spain’s Got Talent, and several other international editions of the show. He is also a social media sensation, boasting over 129,000 Instagram followers, where he frequently showcases his extreme stunts despite platform restrictions on graphic content.

Should Acts Like This Be Allowed on TV?

The backlash over Auzzy Blood’s act raises an ongoing debate about what should and shouldn’t be aired on mainstream television. While some argue that Britain’s Got Talent is about pushing boundaries and showcasing unique performances, others believe acts involving extreme body manipulation should come with stricter content warnings, especially during prime-time viewing hours when younger audiences may be watching.

As complaints to Ofcom continue to pile up, it remains to be seen whether the regulatory body will take action against the show. Meanwhile, Auzzy Blood’s fate in the competition is still uncertain, but one thing is clear—his performance won’t be forgotten anytime soon.
