With seven nods — and she has plenty of prior awards show experience — the “Press” rapper is still feeling jittery.
“Sooo I’m opening the show today and my anxiety is killing me,” she wrote on Twitter before the show Sunday (June 23). “Wish me luck guys. BET AWARDS.”
Cardi B is nominated for best female hip-hop artist, album of the year, best collaboration (for both “Please Me” with Bruno Mars and “I Like It” with Bad Bunny and J Balvin)
Video of the year (for both “Money” and “Please Me” with Bruno Mars) and the Coca-Cola viewers’ choice award.

Other performers at this year’s show include John Legend, Lil Nas X, Migos, Meek Mill and more.
The BET Awards, broadcast from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, will begin at 8 p.m.
ET Sunday with Insecure actress Regina Hall hosting the show. Viewers can catch the show on BET (and sister channels BET HER, MTV, MTV 2, MTV Classic, VH1, and Logo), stream it live on the network’s website or watch it on the network’s BET Now app. For those without access to cable, Hulu has a free Live TV trial.
