Caroline Brooks m0cked her friendship with Beyoncé: ‘This is probably the funniest thing I’ve ever done’ (video)

The Real Housewives of Dubai Season 2 (available to watch on Hayu in Canada) is off to quite a dramatic start for the cast.

In the first episode alone we saw a spat about a Beyoncé show, with Caroline Brooks adamant that she

and Caroline Stanbury had the best seats for the performance at the new Atlantis resort, even though Chanel Ayan and Lesa Milan claimed to be in the “V.V.I.P.” area.

Now Brooks is setting the record straight about the Beyoncé’s concert. She confirmed that her salon,

The Glass House, was hired to do the hair for Beyoncé’s backup vocalists and the nails for the Ivy Park fashion show.

“We worked directly with Beyoncé’s team. … That’s part of the reason why Stanbury and I were sat where we were sat, we actually had the best seats,” Brooks told Yahoo Canada.

“I don’t know what ‘V.V.I.P.’ means, I’ve never heard of that in my life, but all I know is that those girls were in the nosebleed section.”

“Beyoncé was so close we could probably just jump in the water and touch her. Specifically, her team placed me there. … Stanbury and I had the best seats for Beyoncé. There’s no questioning it. I don’t care who Ayan and Lesa were partying with, they didn’t see anything. They had to use binoculars.”

With that eventful start to the season, more turmoil between the Housewives is expected to come.

“There are going to be a lot of shifts in friendships throughout our entire friend group,” Brooks teased. “And some people who are not as close grow closer, others who were super close drift apart.”

“It is a very dramatic, very entertaining, very fun season. There’s going to be happy moments and sad moments, and I feel like it’s going to be super relatable to a lot of people watching.”

As Brooks teased, the cast trip to Bali is going to be a significant moment for these “shifts” in friendships.

‘I got it done’

In the Housewife universe, we have to give Brooks credit for joining the short list of Housewives stars who say they’re starting a business on camera and we actually see it become a reality, in this case with The Glass House.

“For me, I can’t speak for anybody else, but anything I ever say I’m going to do, I do it,” Brooks said. “And I guess learning from people who are huge Housewives fans, that’s not always the case with a lot of Housewives.”

“I knew this is something I was going to do and I got it done. I kind of move quickly in my life. When I’m ready to do something, I put my all into it. I become very passionate about things that I do.”

Keeping our fingers crossed for a Caroline Brooks, Phaedra Parks spinoff

But when it comes to comparisons with other Housewives, we loved getting a glimpse into the friendship between Brooks and The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Married to Medicine and The Traitors star, Phaedra Parks, in Season 1.

“Phaedra is obviously a very big influence in my life and she’s been friends with my family long before I ever filmed The Real Housewives, so it’s pure coincidence that I was cast for the show. … She wasn’t even told,” Brooks said. “Obviously she’s incredibly proud of me and what I’ve achieved so far in my two seasons on the show.”

If you’re a fan, like us, who would love to see Brooks and Parks have a reality TV spinoff show together, it seems that Brooks wouldn’t say no if an opportunity came her way.

“I love Phaedra so much, everything about her, it’s just fun. We have a great time,” Brooks said. “If Phaedra and I were ever on a show together it would be hilarious, shady, fun.”

“I feel like she would tame me a little bit, or she would try, I don’t think anyone can tame me. … Or she would probably just let me at it and just have fun with it. It would be interesting to watch Phaedra and I have a little bit more time together. I would love it.”

‘There are great moments, but it’s hard’

Looking at her relatively new time on reality TV as a whole, Brooks described it as a “rollercoaster.”

“There are great moments, but it’s hard,” Brooks said. “We are all real friends, I speak to most of my cast every single day, … but we’re also not obligated to hang out all the time. So when we’re filming it adds an extra layer of pressure.”

“That can cause a recipe for disaster because we’re all very alpha females. … Most of us want to have the control of being able to decide whether or not we want to deal with somebody and when you film, you have to deal with them. I think it’s actually a good thing … because when you do spend more time with your friends, you end up being closer to them. And friendships go through ups and downs, and I feel like that was really shown this season.”
