Cat Deeley reveals she and husband Patrick Kielty sleep in separate bedrooms

Cat Deeley has made an unexpected revelation about her and husband Patrick Kielty’s sleeping arrangements, admitting that they spend part of the week in separate bedrooms.

The popular television presenter, who has been married to The Late Late Show host since 2012, opened up about their nighttime routine during a discussion on This Morning.

A Practical Sleeping Arrangement

During Tuesday’s episode, Cat and her co-host Ben Shephard led a conversation about marriage and the secrets to a happy relationship.

They were joined by former glamour model Linda Lusardi and a married couple, Emma and Kevin, who explained why they prefer to sleep in separate rooms.

Cat then chimed in with her own experience, revealing that she and Patrick don’t always share a bed.

Due to her early morning schedule on This Morning, she often opts to sleep in the guest bedroom from Monday to Thursday.

Explaining her decision, Cat shared, “It’s one of those things that because of our schedule here, from Monday to Thursday, I sleep in the guest bedroom and the rest of the time I’m back.”

She further justified the arrangement by saying, “Otherwise, I get up at 5 a.m. and I want to fall asleep earlier.”

Her admission sparked a response from Linda, who pointed out that their arrangement was purely logistical. “Well, that’s logistics. You’ve got an odd job that makes you get up early. You have to!” she remarked. However, she also added that, when possible, she believes couples should try to share a bed.

A Marriage Built on Love and Understanding

Cat and Patrick’s relationship has always been rooted in a deep understanding of each other’s demanding careers. The couple tied the knot in September 2012 in a secret ceremony in Italy, just four months after making their romance public.

Since then, they have built a strong family life while balancing their work commitments. Cat’s role on This Morning and Patrick’s responsibilities as a talk show host mean they often have to adjust their routines, and their sleeping arrangement is simply a reflection of that.

Despite their separate sleeping schedules during the week, Cat and Patrick remain a devoted couple, supporting each other both personally and professionally.

A Hilarious Case of Mistaken Identity

Cat’s recent revelation follows another amusing family anecdote involving their young son, Milo. The TV star previously shared that Milo once mistook celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay for his father.

Recalling the funny mix-up on This Morning, Cat explained that the incident happened when Milo, who was four years old at the time, was watching a security video on a British Airways flight.

The pre-flight safety video featured Ramsay, and as soon as he appeared on screen, Milo excitedly pointed at the screen and exclaimed, “Da, da.”

Laughing about the moment, Cat playfully acknowledged the resemblance between her husband and the fiery-tempered chef. While Patrick and Gordon may not be identical twins, it seems young Milo saw enough similarities to confuse the two.

Social Media’s Lookalike Obsession

Cat’s story came up as part of a segment on celebrity lookalikes, a topic that has been making waves on social media recently.

TV personality Rylan Clark recently found himself in the spotlight after a police e-fit of a wanted suspect bore a striking resemblance to him. The image, released by Kent Police in connection with a robbery, quickly went viral, prompting Rylan to jokingly post online, “Wasn’t me!”

Similarly, singer James Blunt became the subject of internet jokes when another police-released CGI image appeared to resemble him. The burglary suspect was said to have a missing front tooth and was wearing a dirty T-shirt, prompting Blunt to respond with a lighthearted “Oh uh” on social media.

A Strong Bond That Works for Them

Cat and Patrick’s relationship continues to thrive despite their unique sleeping arrangement. As many couples will agree, adjusting routines to accommodate busy schedules is a necessary part of making a relationship work.

While some might find the idea of sleeping in separate rooms unusual, Cat’s explanation makes perfect sense for their lifestyle. With early morning starts and long hours, prioritizing rest is crucial for her. Fortunately, their marriage is built on love, trust, and a good sense of humor, ensuring that even their sleeping arrangements don’t disrupt their strong connection.

At the end of the day, every couple finds what works best for them. For Cat and Patrick, a little space during the week is simply a practical solution rather than a sign of trouble. And with their shared laughter, strong partnership, and amusing family moments, it’s clear their marriage is as solid as ever.
