Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren’s divorce in 2010 raised many questions about their children’s custody. The golfer’s ex-wife was favored initially as she appealed for sole physical custody.
However, after million-dollar settlements between the two, the arrangements were changed.
The ex-couple share the legal custody of their kids. Both parents get equal amounts of time with their children. Now, 13 years after the divorce, where do the two young cubs of Woods live?
Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren’s divorce agreement
In 2010, Woods and his then-wife, Elin Nordegren, filed for divorce at the Bay County Circuit Court in Panama City.
The settlement was first reported to be $100 million, with Nordegren having full custody of the children and living in Sweden, as per Fox News.
However, it was later reported that the divorce was settled for an alleged $750 million and both the parents will share joint custody of their two children.
Sam and Charlie now live with their mother and father for some time each week. The 82-time PGAT winner owns a house in Jupiter Island in Florida that he reportedly bought for $40 million in 2006. The house was then renovated, spending around $54 million more. The children’s mother also lives in Florida, but not in Jupiter Island.
The Sweden-born currently lives in Palm Beach Gardens in a mansion that she bought in 2020 for nearly $9.92 million, according to ‘The U.S. Sun’. She then renovated her home in May 2023 for roughly $10 million and built a new pool and a spa. The former couple just stays approximately 30 minutes away from each other, allowing their children to move easily and travel back and forth.
The children’s living arrangement works best in the interest of their education as well. Both Sam’s and Charlie’s school is within easy commuting distance from their two homes.
Where do Sam and Charlie Woods go to school?
Woods’s children go to Benjamin School, which is located in Palm Beach Gardens. The school’s campus is only a few minutes away from their parent’s houses. From their mother’s mansion, the school is approximately 21 minutes away, and from Woods’s humble abode, it is merely a 25-minute drive. Although both parents share joint custody, it appears Charlie spends more time with his father, especially on the golf course.
Sam doesn’t share the same passion for golf as her brother or father. She has more interest in soccer and plays for her school’s team as well. That is why most of the time, it is the 14-year-old Charlie who is spotted on the course with this father. However, at the 2023 PNC Championship, the scenario changed a bit. Sam Alexis was caddying for her father.
It is the first time in many years that the Woods’s children are being captured together on the course. The last appearance of Sam Woods with her father was in 2015 when she was only 9 years old and caddied for Woods for the Masters Par-3 Family Contest.
