Christine Brown Says She Hasn’t Spoken to Former Sister Wives Meri and Robyn in ‘Years’ and Plans to ‘Keep It Like That’

Christine Brown has made it clear that her life has drastically changed

after leaving the polygamous family she once shared with Kody Brown.

In a recent appearance on the *iHeart* Rogue Energy podcast, Christine opened up about the dynamics with her former sister wives, Meri and Robyn,

and revealed that she hasn’t spoken to either of them in years.

She also expressed her intentions to keep it that way, emphasizing that she has no desire to rekindle any relationships with them.

During her candid conversation with Janelle Brown, Christine said, “I haven’t talked to Meri or Robyn for years, and it’s funny. We’ll just keep it like that.

I don’t need to develop a relationship with them.” This blunt statement signals that Christine has firmly moved on from her past life and has no interest in maintaining connections with her former sister wives.

Christine’s decision not to invite Meri and Robyn to her recent wedding to David Woolley further illustrates the shift in her personal relationships. She shared that the only sister wife she invited was Janelle, explaining that it would have been “awkward” for Meri or Robyn to attend. Reflecting on the guest list, Christine expressed the freedom she felt in choosing who to invite. “A great thing about being older when you get married is that you really only have to invite the people that you really want there,” she said. “There’s no obligatory invitations that go out to some uncle Bob or uncle Jed… We really only invited our closest friends to our wedding.”

Christine’s openness about her current relationships underscores her desire to prioritize those who truly matter to her. She added, “I’m not friends with Kody or Meri or Robyn, and so I didn’t have to. I only had to invite who I wanted.” This marks a clear departure from the past, where the Browns were required to navigate complex family dynamics.

Janelle, who remains on good terms with Christine, echoed her sentiments, noting that although she still has occasional contact with Meri, they have all taken different paths in life. Janelle explained, “I’ve had some interactions with Meri, and I think she’s been really happy. She’s been living her own life. We’ve been working cohesively to sort of get this property situation settled, which has been nice. I’ve not had any interaction with Robyn. I haven’t sought her out. I don’t really overlap her in any part of my life.”

As for Janelle, she is currently working through a property deal with Kody, Robyn, and Meri in Flagstaff, Arizona. This property was purchased by the family before the breakup, and Christine sold her share of it to Kody for just $10 in 2022. Janelle shared that once the deal is finalized, she likely won’t have any reason to keep in touch with the others. “It’s not part of the family requirement,” she stated. “There’s not a whole lot of reason to have relationships with these people. We’re so different.”

Though both Christine and Janelle have distanced themselves from Kody and Robyn, the two women expressed regret over losing touch with Robyn’s children. Christine acknowledged the sadness of the situation, stating, “The tragedy of what happened was us losing contact with Robyn’s kids.” While they’ve moved away from the family, both women still hold out hope for potential reconciliation in the future. Janelle shared her desire for healing between their “little pod” and Robyn’s children but admitted that she doesn’t know if that will ever happen.

Christine and Janelle’s evolving relationships with Meri and Robyn are a clear indication of how their lives have changed since leaving polygamy. While they have both experienced personal growth and new opportunities, they have also had to accept the reality that not all relationships can be salvaged. Janelle reflected on her growth, saying, “I had to learn how to find my own worth… and I knew my worth and I knew what it was, but then you also have to learn how to accommodate all the different personalities. And while that’s a wonderful thing, it is a challenge.”
