Craig Melvin experienced a mix of emotions when his wife, Lindsay Czarniak, stepped in to co-host The Today Show on Friday. 

The seasoned sports reporter, who had previously worked for Fox Sports and ESPN, filled in for Dylan Dreyer alongside regular hosts Al Roker and Craig, 

making for a memorable episode filled with lighthearted banter and behind-the-scenes revelations.

As the show kicked off, it was clear that Craig had a touch of apprehension about sharing the spotlight with his wife. 

When Lindsay gushed, “It’s so great to be here,” Craig, with a slight hesitation, responded, “Is it great?”

In addition to his work on The Today Show, Craig has been open about his experiences as a father. Last year, he published a children’s book titled I’m Proud of You, a heartfelt tribute to fatherhood. In an interview with Garden & Gun, he shared, “I didn’t even realize some of the emotions I’m capable of having until I had my own children. I wanted to write a book that helped all the dads out there. It’s a love letter to fatherhood.” His book resonated with parents everywhere, further cementing his role as a loving father and family man.
