Dancing On Ice fans are all saying the same thing as Sir Steve Redgrave is eliminated after landing bottom of the leaderboard for a second week

Sir Steve Redgrave, the legendary Olympian, became the latest contestant to leave *Dancing On Ice* after finding himself in the bottom two for a second consecutive week.

The 62-year-old rower, partnered with professional skater Vicky Ogden, was eliminated following the public vote, after the show scrapped the traditional skate-off.

In a dramatic twist, Steve-O and Vicky faced off against Coronation Street’s Sam Aston and his partner Molly Lanaghan.

With the skate-off being removed from the competition format this year, it all came down to viewer votes.

Despite Steve-O’s valiant efforts, it was not enough to keep him in the competition, and he was the one to take his leave.

Although visibly disappointed by the result, Steve-O took the elimination with good humor.

He jokingly remarked that he “wouldn’t miss falling down” during his final moments on the ice. As he made a last lap around the rink, the Olympian shared a heartfelt thank you to his partner Vicky, expressing how much he had appreciated working with her throughout their time on the show.

On social media, viewers weighed in with their thoughts, with many agreeing that the decision was the right one. Fans on X (formerly Twitter) acknowledged Steve-O’s efforts but felt that his performance had not improved enough over the weeks. One user wrote, “Steve gave it a great go, but it was absolutely the right decision for him to go tonight. Thank you, public!” Another fan commented, “Let’s be honest, it wasn’t even close, and it was never in any doubt. Sorry Steve, but #DancingOnIce was chasing one gold too far.”

For many, the public’s vote signaled that the competition could now truly begin, with the remaining contestants expected to intensify their performances in the coming weeks. Steve-O’s exit left a space for other celebrities to shine, but his determination and commitment to the competition were widely praised, despite the challenges he faced on the ice.

This week’s elimination came after a rollercoaster ride for the contestants, with some surprising moments and tough breaks. One notable event was Chris Taylor’s tumble during his routine with new partner Robin Johnstone. After pro skater Vanessa Bauer was forced to withdraw from the competition due to a serious injury, Chris had to adapt to his new partner just 24 hours before the performance. Despite both Chris and Robin losing their footing during their routine, they managed to finish their performance, earning praise from the judges for their quick recovery.

Chris later shared his emotional response to the news of Vanessa’s injury, expressing how much he had learned from her over the past months. Vanessa, who had partnered with Chris since October, revealed that she had suffered a torn ligament during rehearsals. In an Instagram video, she explained that doctors had advised her not to continue skating due to the severity of the injury. “I unfortunately had a little accident backstage just before the live show on Sunday,” she said. “It turned out that I have a completely torn ligament, grade three sprain, and a major grade two sprain. I shouldn’t be skating on an injury like that, so I’m taking all the advice from the medical professionals here.”

Despite the challenges, both Chris and Vanessa received support from fans who were impressed with Chris’s resilience and Vanessa’s professionalism in managing the injury. Chris was visibly disappointed with his score of 28.5 out of 40 but expressed gratitude for his experience on the show, stating that he had learned a great deal.

As the competition heats up, *Dancing On Ice* continues to captivate viewers, with each week bringing new highs and lows. The remaining stars are expected to give it their all as they battle for the coveted title, but for now, Sir Steve Redgrave’s journey on the ice has come to an end. Though his skating journey was brief, his time on the show has added another chapter to his storied career, earning him the respect and admiration of both fans and fellow contestants alike.
