In the four-part docuseries, the footballing legend and his wife Victoria each reveal interesting bits and pieces from their lives.
But one particularly memorable scene shows David hilariously poke fun at his wife.
In the first episode, Victoria – aka Posh Spice – explains what initially drew her to David.
“I think also we both come from families that work really hard,” she said.
“Both our parents work very hard, we’re very working class.”
But David had to step in and set the facts straight.
Popping his head in the door from another room, the midfielder tells Victoria to “be honest!”
“I am being honest,” she replies.
But David counters, “What car did your dad drive you to school in?”
Victoria then makes several attempts to sidestep the question, uttering “it’s not a simple answer, it depends!”
But after David repeats the question multiple times, she eventually relents.
“OK, in the ’80s, my dad had a Rolls-Royce,” she admits.
“Thank you,” David says, before disappearing behind the door again.
In an interview with Variety, the director of the docuseries, Fisher Stevens, said he spent more than 30 hours interviewing David Beckham, and 14 hours with Victoria.
During that time, Stevens said he managed to capture a never-before-seen side of the couple.
“It hasn’t all been rosy with his relationship with Victoria. There’s constant controversy,” Stevens said.
“Frankly, I was quite moved by their relationship at the end of the day, and – after all they’ve been through – how much they love each other, and how close they are.”
David Beckham and his now wife Victoria met at a football match in 1997 and soon became a hot topic in the UK press, which dubbed them Posh and Becks.
The couple married in 1999 and share four children: Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper.
