David Beckham shared the secret to defeat any opponent, male or female, similar to how he convinced Messi to join Inter Miami (video)

Lionel Messi is set to move to Inter Miami after confirming his departure from PSG after two years. The Argentine star is considered the best football player ever.

He will help MLS receive explosive attention and improve the quality of the tournament.

Recently, Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas revealed the process of bringing Messi to the US. It was a long journey of 3 years and finally achieved results.

“In 2019, we started thinking about how to bring Messi. He can make MLS one of the two or three biggest leagues in the world,” Mas confided.

“I think he will come with the desire to leave his mark. Messi will be able to do many things outside of football. When he retires, he will have shares in the club.

I imagine Messi’s life after football is very similar to David Beckham or Michael Jordan.”

Mas added that he had to enlist the help of co-owner Beckham and new MLS broadcaster Apple to get the Messi deal done.

“I spent three years on this project, a year and a half of which was very intense. There were a lot of conversations with Jorge (Messi’s father). David talked to Leo, just about football, because he’s a player,” Mas added.

“We talked in Barcelona, Miami, Rosario, Doha… I spent the World Cup in Qatar watching Argentina play. The Apple deal was very important to close the deal.”

Mas further hinted that Inter Miami’s next signing, Sergio Busquets, was a sign of things to come. He wants to build Inter Miami around Messi with players of the same caliber.

Tata Martino, who coached Messi at Barcelona, was appointed Inter Miami’s new coach this week.

Martino insists the Argentine is ready to make waves in MLS.

“I spoke with Leo and yesterday I spoke with Sergio. Sometimes when you hear Miami, people think it’s a tourist destination. But these two players are not here for a vacation, they are here to work, to play and to win. It’s in their blood.”

“Having the best player in the world come here will help the league grow. MLS is growing, but with Messi, it will get better,” Martino added.
