The LA Galaxy star shows he’s not too rich or too famous to enjoy an afternoon at Burger King as he heads inside to order one of their new fruit smoothies.
But fans can fear not that Beckham will soon be piling on the pounds and losing his desirable physique as the drinks are part of Burger King’s new healthy-eating campaign.
The fast-food chain has launched the 310 calorie strawberry banana smoothie, which is a favourite of the sports star’s, to offer a more balanced menu to customers.
With every bit as much cheese as a Triple Stacker, Beckham walks into the restaurant and rests on the counter wearing a denim shirt with the top bottoms undone,
before asking for one of the new health shakes.
‘Can I get one of those new strawberry banana smoothies?’ he asks.
But the Burger King sever is so taken by his British charm, she has to ask him to repeat the question as she transcends into a dream state.
David is then transformed into what appears to be her fantasy world and is wearing a smart black suit with slicked back hair, looking extremely dapper.
He repeats his request: ‘Hi beautiful. May I please have a strawberry/banana smoothie?’
But when she still doesnât hear, her manager is forced to intervene who apologises to David for the delay before being transfixed by the handsome 36-year-old himself as well.
The commercial is part of Burger King’s new menu changes in which they have put together its biggest ever marketing campaign.
Other stars including Mary J. Blige, Jay Leno and Salma Hayek will also be starring in the adverts.
