David Beckham unexpectedly canceled all of Inter Miami’s matches for the year (video)

Inter Miami failed to make the MLS Cup playoffs (USA) to compete for the championship.

Therefore, they have a whole month of November to rest, while many players still need to play to stay fit for international matches in the middle of the month.

Among them, Messi plays for the Argentina team.

The idea of David Beckham and the businessmen who co-own Inter Miami is to organize a tour of China, for the team to play friendly matches.

In addition, they will take advantage of the attraction of Messi to increase the market of the team outside the US.

Messi has just won the Golden Ball for the 8th time.

The Argentine star also has a huge fan base in China and once caused a huge fever there when he and the Argentine national team toured in mid-June.

After the tour agreements in China were reached, Inter Miami scheduled two friendly matches against Qingdao Hainiu on November 5 and Chengdu Rongcheng on November 8. However, according to the latest news, the organizers of the matches in China continuously changed the match venue and other problems arose, causing Inter Miami’s tour to fail.

“There were some commercial and bureaucratic issues. Inter Miami, after re-negotiations, failed to reach an agreement. In the end, the club’s president, David Beckham, decided to cancel the tour,” Gaston Edul shared in an online comment on his personal social network account X (formerly Twitter) on November 1.

“Inter Miami now has to switch to plan B. They will continue to train in Miami until mid-November and are looking for opponents to organize at least 1 friendly match during this period. Messi returned to the US right after the Golden Ball award ceremony and quickly went to the training field,” Gaston Edul added.

Messi only returned to play 2 matches near the end of October after a long period of injury. He still needs to practice more to regain 100% fitness, preparing for two key matches with the Argentine team in mid-November in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in South America, against Uruguay on November 17 and Brazil on November 22 (Vietnam time).
