David Beckham went from embarrassed to angry when he lost to Brooklyn in a cooking competition he organized himself (video)

It will see him follow in the footsteps of fellow footballing greats David Beckham and Wayne Rooney, , who lifted the lid on their lives in their own revealing hit telly shows.

Ex-Chelsea captain JT, 43, made more than 500 appearances for the Blues and is their most successful skipper, leading them to five Premier League titles and the same number of FA Cup wins.

Insiders said he was at the centre of a bidding war, with big TV streaming services interested in a deal.

Leading the charge is Raw TV, which created Don’t F*** With Cats and The Tinder Swindler for Netflix.

As well as taking in John’s footballing achievements, insiders said the series would also feature his highs and lows away from the pitch.

A source said: “John is one of football’s most recognisable and popular figures.

“He has had multiple offers to make a series like Beckham and Rooney and is mulling them over.

“It’s a big decision to lay your life open to the public.”

They added that his wife Toni is “a bit like Posh Spice” and will be a hit on camera “as she’s brilliantly funny”.

The source said: “She and JT have incredible chemistry, which they think viewers will love.

“Given John’s popularity at Chelsea and Aston Villa, as well as England, production companies know a documentary or series would be a hit.”

Dad-of-two John is currently working within the coaching team at the Chelsea academy.

After he retired from playing in 2018 following a season at Aston Villa, he remained at the West Midlands club as assistant head coach.

Spells coaching at Chelsea and Leicester City followed.

In 2012, he famously posed with Chelsea team-mates in full kit after their Uefa Champions League final win over Bayern Munich, despite not playing.

And in 2011 he was accused of racially abusing Rio Ferdinand’s brother Anton.

He was found not guilty by Westminster magistrates — but was then fined £220,000 by the FA after a hearing and got a four-match ban.
