The entertainment industry is not celebrated for its successful relationships. Still, David Beckham and Victoria Beckham have seemingly defied the odds. 

They have not only raised a beautiful family together but have also been married for 25 years (officially on July 4). 

Still, despite the longevity of their relationship, they have faced reports about problems in their marriage, including an allegation that Beckham allegedly cheated on his wife.

Fans have heard these rumors for many years now when his former assistant Rebecca Loos previously alleged they had an affair in 2004. 

But a new book, The House of Beckham, by British journalist Tom Bower, will reportedly touch on these allegations again. 

Bower’s book notes how the couple have faced their share of problems, including how, according to Page Six, they have “been brought to the brink of divorce multiple times.”

The House of Beckham has already been released in the United Kingdom and is set for release in the United States early next week. But what is it about the contents of this book that will interest fans? “There may not be anything we don’t know in this book, but having it all in one place is super damning,” a source told Page Six. “Victoria and David will have thought they left all of this behind.”

It will undoubtedly be challenging for the couple to have to face these allegations again. As the source claims, “It’s a legacy you don’t want to have. It doesn’t matter how you dress it up, the maggots are out of the woodwork.”

Fans will know about Rebecca Loos’s allegations of her affair with Beckham, but the new information is that he reportedly stepped out on her, too. According to Page Six, it is alleged that Loos walked in on the footballer with Spanish model Esther Cañadas. The allegation is new, but the timeline is not because it is believed to have taken place when Beckham was playing for Real Madrid and attended a party at his teammate Cristiano Ronaldo’s villa. Loos reportedly knocked on a bedroom door and found Beckham inside with Cañadas.

Bower claims Loos’ words at that moment were, “David, I have your wife on the phone.” She was reportedly “very hurt” by his actions, claiming, “I thought I was the only one.”

David Beckham Has Discussed The Allegations Against Him Before

David Beckham has previously addressed the affair allegations and the media attention it brought with it in his Netflix documentary. In it, he claimed the allegations about him left him “feeling sick every day.” While some fans may feel he skirted around the subject, Rebecca Loos has not.

In an interview with Daily Mail (in reaction to the documentary) she said, “It’s all, ‘poor me.’ He needs to take responsibility.” She continued, “He can say whatever he likes, of course, and I understand he has an image to preserve, but he is portraying himself as the victim, and he’s making me look like a liar, like I’ve made up these stories. He is indirectly suggesting that I’m the one who has made Victoria suffer.”
