Anne Hathaway had an interview a couple of months ago that saw her talking rather bluntly to an interviewer. The interview took place after the actress was seen rocking an outfit that was inspired by her iconic character in The Devil Wears Prada. A black turtleneck, a crocodile jacket, and some beautiful bangs managed to style a look that made heads turn. The interviewer seemed really excited after seeing Anna Wintour sitting next to the actress as Meryl Streep’s character was based on her.

“No, but you weren’t there.”

The interviewer got curious and asked the actress if she ever had a conversation with Wintour about the movie. When the actress replied with a yes, there was no other option for her but to ask more questions regarding the same. The actress refused to share the details of the conversation and even stated that there would be no reason for her to reveal the information to the interviewer.

Fans Stood Up For Anne Hathaway After The Misunderstanding

Anne Hathaway was termed to be rude and disrespectful towards the interviewer. However, she did try to defend herself by stating that she had no intention of doing so. Fans stood up for her, stating that no one has to always be perfectly kind all the time. Furthermore, they understood as to why she would be unwilling to share private information.

“I looked in the mirror and I thought, ‘Oh that’s funny, I wonder if anybody will notice.’”

Many fans even pointed towards the interviewer, claiming that she was the one being rude for prying into information that was clearly personal. Many of her fans understood as to why she would even want to keep information to herself. As an individual who values her private life, Hathaway became more of a figure to be appreciated to keep her boundaries rather than anything else.

Hathaway hadn’t even planned on wearing the outfit. However, the way it turned out made her wonder just how many people would even notice her resemblance to the 2006 character.
