Despite her many Oscars, Jennifer Lawrence admitted to laziness in learning lines before filming. Why? (video)

Jennifer Lawrence is a highly regarded and versatile actress, earning acclaim in Hollywood for her exceptional talent.

She achieved widespread fame through her portrayal of Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games film series.

Her remarkable career boasts an Academy Award for her exceptional performance in Silver Linings Playbook, alongside numerous other critically praised roles.

However, she is too lazy to learn her lines before shooting.

Lawrence is celebrated for her genuine and relatable persona, along with her dedication to portraying strong, multifaceted characters.

Beyond her acting career, she actively champions various social and political causes, using her influential platform to address important societal issues.

Jennifer Lawrence continues to be a cherished and influential figure in the entertainment industry.

During an appearance at Variety’s Actors on Actors, Adam Sandler inquired Jennifer Lawrence about her process while or before filming. Lawrence admitted that she’s too lazy to memorize her dialogues beforehand.

Jennifer Lawrence explained that she typically avoids memorizing her lines, mainly out of a combination of laziness and a desire to alleviate boredom. She mentioned that after returning home, her preference is to watch television before bedtime rather than diving into the script.

Lawrence told Adam Sandler:

“I don’t really every memorize either, mostly just out of laziness and boredom. When I come home, I wanna watch TV before I go to bed. I don’t want to read the script. Normally hair and makeup is like two hours where I can’t go anywhere, so I just use that to memorize. But for Mother I didn’t really have a choice because we did a three months rehersal process in a warehouse in Brooklyn. And the dialogue didn’t really change much so I ended up memorizing it.”

During her extended hair and makeup sessions, which often consume around two hours, she utilizes that time to commit her lines to memory.

Jennifer Lawrence Charged A Bomb For This Acclaimed Film

For director Adam McKay’s film Don’t Look Up in 2021, the production budget amounted to $75 million. The film featured two leading stars, Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio, whose combined compensation reached $55 million. In this arrangement, DiCaprio received $30 million, while Lawrence’s payment totaled $25 million.

The substantial salaries awarded to Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio were justifiable, given their substantial influence and star power, capable of drawing substantial crowds to theaters. The film had its U.S. theatrical release on December 10, 2021, but its run concluded approximately ten days later. Subsequently, on December 24, the movie was made available on Netflix and quickly became the most-watched English-language film on the platform during its debut week.

Bringing a combination of dark humor and incisive wit to the table, Don’t Look Up effectively delves into the complex issue of the climate crisis while offering an engaging and contemplative cinematic journey for its audience. In addition to Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio, the movie boasts an ensemble cast that includes esteemed actors such as Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Rob Morgan, and Cate Blanchett.
