Actress stated that she had to deal with the situation in therapy
In an interview with British Vogue , which was released last Tuesday (5).
Actress Emma Watson revealed that she felt unworthy and guilty about the fame she achieved for her role as Hermione in Harry Potter .
The actress, who was cast in the film at the age of 9, became known worldwide for the successful franchise.
“It’s something I had to sit through in therapy and felt really guilty about. I asked myself, ‘Why? Why me?
Someone else would have liked and wanted this aspect of my life more than I did,” she said.

Emma also stated that she suffered and struggled a lot with guilt, despite not knowing what she was getting into when she filmed the wizard’s first film, in 2001.
“I was nine years old and I was literally picked out of a queue at my school. I got the first role I auditioned for in my life. It was really bizarre.”
While the overwhelming success of Harry Potter radically changed Emma’s life, the actress said it was her family that kept her at peace. “What made me at peace with myself is remembering my own identity. I am someone’s daughter,” she said. “There’s a big part of my identity that’s really important and solid, and it has nothing to do with that [fame].”
Watson also revealed that to sometimes escape the famous life, she wears a wig to disguise herself. “Especially at shows and larger venues. Halloween is great for me!”
