Celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo, best known for his appearances on *This Morning* and *Celebrity Juice*, 

is facing serious allegations of inappropriate behavior following an ITV News investigation. 

The 48-year-old star, who has been a fixture on British television for over a decade, 

is accused of making crude, sexually inappropriate comments to colleagues that left them feeling distressed. 

The allegations, which span 12 years, involve more than 40 people who claim to have witnessed or experienced misconduct from D’Acampo.

As the investigation unfolded, past remarks made by the chef have resurfaced, 

with some now questioning whether his behavior on and off screen was more problematic than it appeared at the time. In a 2022 interview with *The Sun*, D’Acampo himself acknowledged that he had been walking a “fine line” throughout his career, admitting that his behavior on TV was “dangerous” at times. He explained that his personality and Italian accent helped him “get away with things” that others might not be able to, attributing his success on television to his familiarity with viewers and his ability to navigate controversial moments.

“There is a fine line on television and I’ve been walking that line for the past 10 to 15 years,” Gino said. “It’s very dangerous the way I do it. But I can get away with it, with my accent and because I’m Gino and everybody knows me for a long time.”

While some of his comments were made in jest, others were seen as inappropriate, even harmful, particularly when considering the growing scrutiny of workplace behavior and the ongoing conversation surrounding “cancel culture.” Gino’s nonchalant attitude toward these issues has now attracted further criticism. He defended his actions, insisting that he had always meant no harm and that he wasn’t trying to offend anyone. “We’re living in an era now where you have to be really careful with what you say, but I can’t do that,” he told *Closer* magazine. “Everyone knows I mean well… I don’t mean it with maliciousness.”

Despite his insistence that his behavior was harmless, the allegations against Gino tell a different story. Dozens of colleagues have come forward, some sharing disturbing experiences of unwanted sexual comments and advances. One woman, who asked to remain anonymous, claimed that Gino made crude comments about his sexual desires that made her feel extremely uncomfortable. The chef’s comments about being “above reproach” have not sat well with many of his accusers. One woman, who described the chef’s denial as “classic bully behavior,” expressed frustration at his lack of acknowledgment or apology. Another critic found his “blanket denial” deeply disappointing, suggesting that Gino could have handled the situation with more sensitivity. 

Among those who have spoken out is Kim Woodburn, a former *I’m A Celebrity* contestant, who claimed that Gino’s behavior during their time on the show made her feel uncomfortable. Woodburn alleged that Gino made inappropriate remarks about being sexually deprived while in the jungle and even touched himself, which caused distress. These comments are part of a wider pattern of risqué behavior that has caused concern among his colleagues.

The controversy surrounding D’Acampo’s conduct has led to the suspension of all of his ITV shows. In particular, *Gordon, Gino, and Fred’s Road Trip*, a show he co-hosted with fellow chefs Gordon Ramsay and Fred Sirieix, was abruptly ended in 2022 after a fall-out. The program had gained popularity in previous years, but now faces the stigma of being associated with allegations of misconduct.

ITV has responded to the allegations by removing all of Gino’s programs from its schedule. The network issued a statement explaining that it was unaware of many of the complaints until the investigation came to light. The statement also emphasized that ITV had acted swiftly when issues were raised and would continue to follow up on any new reports of inappropriate behavior.

As for Gino, he remains adamant that he did not act inappropriately and is devastated by the accusations. His legal team has categorically denied all claims of misconduct, asserting that Gino does not recognize the incidents described by the accusers. In his public response, he claimed that these issues had never been raised with him before, and he expressed his deep disappointment in the allegations.
