Harry doesn’t trust anyone to run his charity, fearing that William and Kate are secretly plotting to take everything he has

Harry doesn’t trust anyone to run his charity, fearing that William

and Kate are secretly plotting to take everything he hasIt is claimed the Duke of Sussex is keen for the legacy of the Invictus Games to remain in his immediate family

and be passed on to his son, Prince Archie, when he reaches maturity.

Speaking exclusively to the Sunday Express, a source revealed: “A patronage will one day be passed to Archie so the foundation can be kept within the family.

Harry is adamant that the Invictus Games will remain a Sussex initiative.”

It comes as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning to take their children Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three,

to a “family-focused” Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 opening ceremony in February next year.

They added: “As both the founder and patron of the Invictus Games and Invictus Games Foundation, Harry is very keen to lead by example and bring his family along.”

According to a source, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are making arrangements for their children to attend the opening ceremony at BC Place Vancouver which will provide guests with a family-friendly start time of 1pm on February 8.

Their idea is to make the Games “family-friendly” so that those taking part can bring their children along. If Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, join their parents in Canada, it will be one of only a few public outings the young prince and princess have undertaken since Harry and Meghan moved to the United States in 2020.

According to the source, Invictus Games organisers have scheduled a week of “family-friendly” summer and winter sporting events to encourage sports fans and wounded veterans to get the younger generation involved.

However, it is thought the closing ceremony will be an “adult only” occasion and take place at Rogers Arena at 7pm on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at the end of the nine-day competition.

In February 2024, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle visited Vancouver, Canada for the “One year to go” event ahead of the Winter Invictus Games and the couple met competitors at the Whistler Blackcomb ski resort.

Around 550 competitors from up to 25 nations will take part in events including sitting volleyball, swimming and wheelchair basketball in the 2025 games.

Winter sports such as alpine skiing, snowboarding and wheelchair curling will also be part of the competition for the first time.

The first edition of the games was held in London in 2014, with subsequent competitions being held in the US, Canada, and Australia.

Last year in a Netflix documentary series about the Invictus Games, Prince Harry described his emotional “unravelling” after he returned from military service in Afghanistan in 2013. The five-part documentary series, Heart of Invictus, told the story of the Prince’s sports competition for servicemen and women.
