Holly Willoughby, known for her charm and wit as a former *This Morning* presenter,

recently shared a couple of unforgettable and amusing stories while appearing on *The Graham Norton Show*.
The 43-year-old television personality, who is currently promoting her new Netflix series *Celebrity Bear Hunt*,
delighted the audience with tales of her encounters with some very famous faces, including renowned physicist Stephen Hawking and music legend Elton John.

One particularly remarkable story Holly shared was of a time she and comedian Alan Carr had a wild night with Stephen Hawking.

The iconic scientist, famous for his groundbreaking work in theoretical physics, might not seem like the typical party guest, but according to Holly, he was in great spirits during their encounter.

Recalling the event, Holly said, “We went to a party, and he was there, and we did shots with him, and he was quite wild!” This revelation left the audience amused and astonished, as it’s not every day that a scientist of Hawking’s caliber is associated with shots and a lively party atmosphere.
Holly then continued, telling another humorous story related to a significant moment from her career. She recalled the day of Stephen Hawking’s death in March 2018, when she was presenting *This Morning*. The production team had prepared a heartfelt tribute to the physicist, including a special memorial video. The segment was supposed to be a dignified tribute, but as often happens with live TV, things went wrong. Holly explained, “We had this lovely black and white picture of him, and we were going to dedicate a song to him. This is where live telly can be dangerous, as the sound guy pushed the wrong button and played Meghan Trainor’s ‘All About That Bass’ by accident.” The slip-up left Holly and the team in an awkward moment, but the mishap was certainly one of the more amusing behind-the-scenes stories she shared during the interview.

Another memorable moment from Holly’s chat involved her experience at Glastonbury 2024, where she attended Elton John’s unforgettable performance. While Holly was mesmerized by the magic of the concert, her post-performance experience was decidedly less glamorous. After Elton’s incredible set, Holly found herself in the midst of the chaos at one of the festival’s infamous portaloos. Describing the scene with a chuckle, she said, “I was there and was having the time of my life. Elton was the highlight, but then everyone moved towards the loos. After his set, the loos were chaos. It was disgusting, but when you’ve got to go, you’ve got to go.” Holly then recounted how she had to stand on the toilet seat rather than sit down, ensuring that she didn’t leave a mess for the next person to deal with. Always prepared, she had a bag of wet wipes on hand to clean the loo and make sure it was spotless before she left. “I was back down to earth with a bump after Elton,” Holly joked, making light of the less-than-glamorous situation.
In addition to these hilarious stories, Holly also spoke about her exciting new project, *Celebrity Bear Hunt*, where she joined survival expert Bear Grylls for an adventurous and adrenaline-pumping experience in the Costa Rican jungle. Holly revealed that filming the series took her way out of her comfort zone, but Bear’s convincing and inspirational guidance helped her tackle some of her fears. “The magic of Bear is that he is really convincing and inspirational, and even got me to do stuff that I am the scaredest person ever!” Holly laughed, admitting that the experience was both challenging and rewarding.

The show, which features 12 celebrities attempting to survive in the jungle while being pursued by Bear and faced with different challenges, also includes stars like Shirley Ballas, Boris Becker, Danny Cipriani, Mel B, and Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen. Holly’s co-star Steph McGovern also shared her terrifying experience on set, where she was involved in a dangerous incident that saw her crash into a cliff while filming. Thankfully, Steph wasn’t seriously hurt, but she did recall the blood dripping from her face as medics rushed to check her for a concussion. “It wasn’t a big deal,” she said, brushing off the incident as “more dramatic than it actually was.”
With her usual wit and warmth, Holly Willoughby certainly kept the audience entertained with these behind-the-scenes glimpses into her life, her career, and her incredible encounters with some of the world’s most renowned figures. Whether it’s partying with Stephen Hawking, navigating festival portaloos, or braving the wild jungle with Bear Grylls, Holly continues to prove that she’s not just a beloved TV personality but also someone with some truly unforgettable stories to tell.
