Investing is the best way to manage money and make a profit, but investing accurately, at the right time and in the right place requires good analytical skills plus a little luck.
In addition to golf, Tiger Woods is also a talented investor with amazing results.
Tiger Woods founded TGR Design in 2006. The company has flourished under Woods’ leadership.
TGR Design is currently working on Trout National – The Reserve, owned by MLB star Mike Trout. The facility is expected to open in 2025.
Woods also invested in the high-end miniature golf chain PopStroke, originally based in Florida.
By partnering with the golf star through TGR Design, PopStroke has begun to expand and is expected to expand across the country.
Tiger Woods is also a major investor in Nexus Luxury Collection, a global real estate company. He is joined in this venture by pop star Justin Timberlake.
It was recently announced that Nexus Luxury Collection plans to open a luxury bar in the St. Andrews of Scotland. The facility will feature several attractions, including a golf simulator.
Another result of Tiger Woods’ investment is “The Woods Jupiter”, an upscale restaurant located on Jupiter Island near the player’s residence. It’s a ‘fine cuisine’ restaurant with a sports theme.
All are worthwhile investments, but Woods’ first venture was the TGR Foundation, which he founded in 1996. The foundation is dedicated to raising funds to help young people in need.
Throughout its history, the TGR Foundation has created and supported a variety of projects, including TGR events, the Tiger Woods Learning Center and the Tiger Woods Invitational.
Just over a year ago (August 2022), Tiger Woods launched his latest venture: TMRW Sports. It is a technology-based company that develops new approaches to sports and entertainment.
TMRW Sports is also owned by Rory McIlroy, NBC Sports producer Dick Ebersol and chief operating officer Mike McCarley, among others. TMRW Sports’ first product will be launched on January 9, 2024. It’s the TGL League, a golf tournament that will feature six teams competing in simulated tournaments.
TGL has created a lot of buzz, attracting most of the top golfers on the PGA Tour. It has also attracted a wide range of stakeholders from entertainment and sports industry celebrities to senior business executives.
Tiger Woods and Justin Timberlake have teamed up to launch a Sport Bar called “T-Squared”. The bar features four Full Swing golf simulators, four bowling alleys and 35 television screens. All facilities here are jointly owned by Tiger Woods and Justin Timberlake, in partnership with 8AM Golf, which owns Miura Golf and Golf Magazine/Golf.com.
