Rihanna has been away from the music scene for almost six years, but she is ready to make a big comeback with her ninth studio album, R9.

The pop icon said that becoming a mother to her two children, Rumi and Riot, inspired her to return to her passion and express herself through her songs.

“I feel like I have a new perspective on life and love, and I want to share that with my fans,” Rihanna told Rolling Stone.

“Being a mom has taught me so much about myself, my strengths, my weaknesses, and my creativity. It has also made me appreciate the power of music and how it can heal, inspire, and connect people.”

Rihanna said that her upcoming album will reflect her personal and artistic growth, as well as her diverse musical influences.

She said that she experimented with different genres, sounds, and collaborations, and that she is proud of the result. She also hinted that some of the songs will be dedicated to her children and her partner, ASAP Rocky.

“I hope that my music will touch people’s hearts and make them feel something,” Rihanna said. “I hope that it will also empower them to live their truth and chase their dreams.

That’s what my kids and my man do for me every day. They are my biggest inspiration and motivation.”
