Shiseido has revealed that Oscar-winning actress Anne Hathaway is the latest face to join its beauty empire, starring in its most recent campaign for its Vital Perfection line.

The new Vital Perfection range is an anti-ageing line designed to restore youthful vitality and radiant health to the skin.

The line-up includes Intensive WrinkleSpot Treatment, a 2-in-1 treatment cream to target deep wrinkles and signs of ageing, and Uplifting & Firming Cream, an anti-ageing solution.

The Oscar-winning actress told British Vogue, “I’m so honoured that they felt I was a fit.”

Shiseido took to social media to post the black and white campaign video of Anne Hathaway, which features the slogan ‘potential has no age’.

The 40-year-old actress can be heard saying: “Finding your light is not always easy. It can be hard to remember that even shadows can lead us to light.

Sometimes the light is hidden, waiting to be found … Like our potential. It exists within a brilliance that knows no limits.”

The video then transitions to colour, showcasing Hathaway’s flawless skin as she gushes over the products.

Shiseido’s Instagram caption reads: “We are excited to announce @annehathaway as the new brand ambassador for our Vital Perfection collection.”

Hathaway joins fellow actress Hunter Schafer among Shiseido’s line-up of brand ambassadors. In 2021, the brand also joined forces with famous faces Megan Rapinoe, Hikaru Utada and Úrsula Corberó for its Power Is You campaign.

Hathaway continued, “[Shiseido’s] a brand that’s been synonymous with the highest quality for so many generations; they have such integrity… I’m just really, really thrilled that they felt that I am somebody who could effectively reflect that.”
