Inter Miami owner David Beckham reunites with Gary Neville, revealing the future of their reunion

Beckham’s Studio 99 company has been involved in the production of 99 – a three-part series celebrating United’s treble 25 years ago.

The ex-England captain was in Manchester to promote the show, which launches on Amazon Prime on May 17, on Thursday night,

and he was joined by Neville, Peter Schmeichel, Dwight Yorke, Andy Cole, Nicky Butt, Teddy Sheringham and more.

Alongside an Instagram video that showed him and his old team-mates at the premiere of the new documentary, he wrote: “A special night back in Manchester with former team-mates,

friends and family ❤️ Excited for the release of our 99 documentary on the 17th May 🎥 ⚽️ @primevideosport @studio99 @manchesterunited 🔴⚫️.”

WHAT DAVID BECKHAM SAID ABOUT MANCHESTER UNITED NOW

Beckham was part of a United side that were serial winners but the picture under manager Erik ten Hag is quite different. They are eighth in the Premier League but have the chance to win the FA Cup this month. And the 49-year-old hopes this documentary can inspire the Red Devils to move past their current struggles.

“In all honesty, I think that anyone that watches this documentary and has a connection to United, that they’ll be inspired by it,” he told BBC Radio 5 Live at the premiere.

“It’s been a difficult time for the team over the last few years now but it was always going to be. When we were as successful as we were for the amount of years there was always gonig to be this time.

“Now, we feel it’s probably gone on for a little bit too long but it will mean something to these homegrown lads without a doubt because the homegrown lads actually talk about that moment in time so we hope it inspires them.”

The contrast between that all-conquering United side from 1999 and today’s crop could not be more stark. The Red Devils have not lifted the Premier League trophy since 2013, the year Sir Alex Ferguson left the club. Manager Ten Hag is under huge pressure to keep his job and thoughts of winning the English top-flight, the Champions League, and the FA Cup in one season would be nigh-on impossible.
