ITV Loose Women’s Jane Moore in cutting one word review of Meghan Markle’s new show

Loose Women panellist Jane Moore didn’t mince words when sharing her thoughts on Meghan Markle’s latest Netflix series.

During a recent episode of the ITV talk show, Jane dismissed the Duchess of Sussex’s new lifestyle programme with a single, sharp critique—calling it “boring.”

The series, which is part of Meghan and Prince Harry’s multimillion-pound deal with Netflix,

aims to showcase the Duchess engaging in home-making activities while welcoming celebrity guests.

However, Jane appeared unimpressed by what the show had to offer.

Meghan’s New Lifestyle Series: What’s It About?

The eight-part series features Meghan inviting well-known personalities to a picturesque California estate, where she shares her expertise in cooking, gardening, and entertaining. Each episode runs for approximately 33 minutes, focusing on various aspects of home-making.

The first episode, titled Hello Honey!, gives viewers a glimpse into Meghan’s approach to hosting guests. She explains that while the home used in the show is not actually hers, she prepares everything there before bringing it back to her residence. “This isn’t my house. Daniel’s (Martin) gonna be staying at my house, but I’m gonna prep everything here as I would at home and then bring it back to my house so I can have it there for him,” Meghan shares.

She also speaks about the little details she considers when hosting guests, emphasizing what she calls their “good morning and good night moment.” She elaborates on the thought process behind making guests feel at home, from arranging bedside essentials to ensuring bathroom necessities are perfectly placed.

Jane Moore’s Blunt Review

Despite the warm and inviting concept of the show, Jane Moore remained unconvinced. During the Loose Women discussion, she expressed her lack of enthusiasm, noting that the show’s content failed to hold her attention.

Referencing Meghan’s efforts in arranging fruit and vegetables on a platter while her guests reacted with exaggerated awe, Jane questioned the overall excitement factor of the series. “It’s a multi-million-pound deal,” she remarked before admitting, “I found my attention drifting, I must say.”

Jane also pointed out a significant factor that might disappoint some viewers—Meghan’s actual home is not featured in the series. “Even if you’re not interested in home-making, you’d at least watch it to get a glimpse of their house,” she commented. “But you don’t see their house. It’s a rented house down the road.”

She further compared Meghan’s show to renowned lifestyle guru Martha Stewart’s past work, explaining that Stewart’s content felt “authentic” in a way that Meghan’s series did not.

Frankie Bridge Shares a Different Perspective

While Jane’s critique of the show was clear, fellow Loose Women panellist Frankie Bridge had a more balanced view. The former The Saturdays singer admitted that the programme didn’t appeal to her personally and confirmed that she wouldn’t be tuning in. However, she also came to Meghan’s defense, acknowledging the scrutiny that follows the Duchess no matter what she does.

“I do feel like she’s damned if she does, damned if she doesn’t,” Frankie stated. “People aren’t going to like it no matter what she does.”

Frankie also suggested that Meghan’s critics may not be giving her a fair chance. “I just feel like people don’t want to like it,” she said. “If she was trying to do a show that was more down-to-earth, people would still give her a hard time.”

Divided Opinions on Meghan’s Netflix Project

As with most things related to Meghan Markle, the show has sparked a divided response. While some appreciate the Duchess’s attempt to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere through her series, others—like Jane Moore—remain skeptical about its entertainment value.

The debate surrounding Meghan’s show highlights the ongoing challenges she faces in the public eye. Whether this latest venture will win over audiences or continue to fuel criticism remains to be seen. However, if Jane Moore’s blunt review is anything to go by, not everyone will be rushing to watch.
