Jenna Bush Hager, cohost of Today, has made it clear that she likely won’t be expanding her family any further.

During the Monday, March 3, episode of the morning show, she and her fourth-hour cohost, Savannah Guthrie, engaged in a lighthearted conversation about their families.
The discussion took an interesting turn when Guthrie shared that she had dreamed Hager was expecting another baby.
Rather than immediately dismissing the idea, Hager played along for a moment, teasing the audience before ultimately setting the record straight.

“I have nothing to announce,” she clarified, putting an end to any speculation.

“I’m pretty sure I’ve come to terms that three, even though it’s an imperfect number, is the perfect number for our house.”

The 43-year-old television personality and author is a mother to three children: Mila, 11, Poppy, 9, and Hal, 5, whom she shares with her husband, Henry Hager. As much as she adores motherhood, it seems her family is complete.
Guthrie, 53, also weighed in on the topic, revealing that she had once wished for another child but ultimately felt she was “up against the clock.” The Today anchor is a mom to two children, Vale, 10, and Charley, 8, whom she shares with husband Michael Feldman.
While Hager has now confirmed she has no plans for baby number four, she has spoken candidly about the challenges and rewards of parenting. In a January 2025 interview, she opened up about raising her children and the realities of being a mom.
“[Mila] is in her tween era. But she’s a sweet tween,” Hager said, reflecting on her eldest daughter’s growth. “Sure, they’re going to every once in a while show their tween or teen self, but really, it’s like that loving kid that was in her is still there. And there are some changes, but she’s the sweetest, kindest, most empathetic girl. And I’m so proud of her.”

Parenting, however, isn’t always smooth sailing. Hager admitted that some days are more difficult than others. She recalled a recent evening when she and her husband found themselves overwhelmed by the challenges of raising young children.
“Parenting was hard last night. Henry’s like, ‘Wow, parenting is really hard.’ And it is. But yeah, of course. I hope that the way Henry and I treat people has rubbed off, you know? And she witnesses that, but she’s a good kid. All of them are. They’re all wild, too, but they’re good,” she explained.
When asked in the same interview whether she had any desire to have another baby, Hager was firm in her response.

“No more kids, no more kids for now,” she stated. However, she left a tiny window open for the unexpected, adding, “You never know.”
While she seems confident that her family is complete, it’s clear that Hager is devoted to motherhood and cherishes the moments she has with her children. Whether navigating the ups and downs of parenting or sharing fun anecdotes on Today, she continues to be open about her experiences as a mom. For now, it looks like three children are just the right number for her busy household.
