Jenna Bush Hager’s Latest Guest Host Receives Bold Piece of Advice From Monica Lewinsky

Jenna Bush Hager kicked off Week 8 of *Jenna & Friends* on Monday, March 3,

with a star-studded lineup, bringing in some familiar faces to co-host with her.

Among them was Savannah Guthrie, who joined Bush Hager at the news desk for the very first time in the new installment of the NBC morning show.

This marked an exciting moment for fans, as Guthrie’s presence was a major highlight of the week.

However, it was Monica Lewinsky, who had previously appeared on *Today*,

who made waves with her unexpected and rather blunt piece of advice for Guthrie.

The 51-year-old activist, who recently joined Bush Hager and co-host Justin Sylvester on *Jenna & Friends* to promote her podcast *Reclaiming*, offered a candid tip in response to a preview of the upcoming episode that was shared on the official Instagram page of the *Today* show.

The advice? “Just make sure you don’t swear on live TV… ahem. 😳” This comment was a playful nod to Lewinsky’s own experience on the show when she jokingly mentioned how she would avoid swearing when discussing the events that inspired her new podcast. Lewinsky had quipped that she’d refrain from using a swear word to describe her journey and the challenges she faced, leading her to create *Reclaiming*.

Savannah Guthrie’s appearance on *Jenna & Friends* had been highly anticipated, especially considering the ongoing popularity of the series. *Jenna & Friends* has brought in several notable personalities over the course of its run, and Guthrie’s involvement on Monday added an extra layer of excitement. Just one day earlier, on Sunday, March 2, the *Today* show announced Guthrie’s guest hosting appearance, sharing a sweet tribute on social media. The post, featuring Guthrie’s headshot, expressed enthusiasm about her participation, with a caption that read, “Our queen of the early hours of TODAY will be sticking around to co-host with JBH tomorrow morning! We can’t wait to have you, @savannahguthrie! #JennaandFriends.”

While many fans were thrilled about Guthrie’s co-hosting spot, the response on social media was somewhat mixed. Some viewers expressed their love for Guthrie’s appearance, with one fan commenting, “Love love love this!” However, there were others who felt differently, with one writing, “I do wish Sheinelle was given a chance to co-host for an entire week.” This division in opinion led to some lively discussions in the comments section, highlighting the variety of preferences among *Today* show fans.

In contrast to the online debate about which *Today* host would be best suited for the role, Lewinsky’s advice steered clear of such discussions. Instead, her playful comment aimed at Guthrie was a lighthearted moment that captured attention. Given Lewinsky’s past experience with media scrutiny, it’s no surprise that she would offer such a tongue-in-cheek reminder. Her appearance on *Today* was a significant one, as she discussed her podcast *Reclaiming*, where she dives into personal reflections on her past and explores topics related to public shaming and reclaiming one’s narrative.

As the week progressed, Bush Hager would be joined by yet another guest, with Willie Geist returning on Tuesday to take his place as co-host. Geist had previously appeared on Week 6 of *Jenna & Friends*, and his return was met with enthusiasm from fans of the show. To wrap up the week, actress Regina Hall, known for her role in the *Scary Movie* franchise, would make a special appearance, bringing the star power needed to conclude Week 8 of the series with a bang.

Overall, *Jenna & Friends* continues to captivate its audience, offering a blend of celebrity appearances, candid conversations, and unforgettable moments. Fans are eagerly awaiting the rest of the week’s episodes, especially with more surprise guests lined up. From the candid banter to the heartwarming exchanges, the show remains a hit, bringing a fresh dynamic to the *Today* franchise.

And with Monica Lewinsky’s unexpected advice to Savannah Guthrie, it’s clear that the series will continue to bring moments of humor and honesty to its viewers.
