Jennifer Lawrence has a lot to say when it comes to her family. While she tries to keep her personal life away from the paparazzi, she has admitted that she can’t do much about it.
Her recent film – No Hard Feelings was released on June 23, and a couple of days prior to that she interacted with Cameron Diaz,
who interviewed her on being a newbie parent, according to a report from PEOPLE via Interview Magazine.
Lawrence expressed that it can get hard after giving birth to effectively perform the duties of being a mother and a Hollywood icon.
She also didn’t hesitate in giving maximum credit to her husband Cooke Maroney who, according to her, takes care of their son Cy while she is out hunting for projects.
Asking Jennifer Lawrence a wide range of questions, Cameron Diaz got to the point where she wanted to know more about how she maintains her work-life balance.
“So how is it for you in-between projects? Especially now that you’re a mom, are you feeling like you want to spend time at home? Or does it feel like you can still squeeze in a project here and there?” – Asked Diaz.
“There’s no squeezing when you have a baby. There’s just home and it’s the best. It definitely helps weed out projects,” replied Lawrence.
The 32-year-old actor further elaborated on her husband being the greatest father in the world as he loves to help her in more ways than one.
During the interview, Jennifer Lawrence thanked her long-time friend Cameron Diaz for teaching her how to cook for her husband. But that’s not all. According to her, Maroney does a lot more than she gives him credit for.
She told Diaz that Maroney is quite a capable father and manages to be more of a parent so she gets ample time to give to her career.
“Fortunately, my husband is the greatest father in the entire world. So when I’m working, I don’t have any more guilt than the usual every day, all-day parent guilt.”
Close to the end of the interview, Jennifer Lawrence stated that she has been through anxiety and anger issues and she doesn’t want her child to inherit those parts from his mother. “That’s really good mommy-ing,” joked Diaz.
