Call it “Jennifer Lawrence Unplugged.” Or maybe “Jennifer Lawrence Gives Her Publicist a Heart Attack.” Either way,

the Red Sparrow star barely had time to kind-of promote her new spy thriller on Monday night’s (Feb. 26) The Late Show because she was too busy trading shots of top-shelf Cuban rum

with host Stephen Colbert, dragging disgraced former Weinstein Co. boss Harvey Weinstein and sort of telling an X-rated story about how much she loves her dog.

In other words, a Jennifer Lawrence late night appearance. The Oscar-winning actress came out looking relaxed in black slacks and a long-sleeved green velvet shirt,

pulling her glittery heels up on the chair so she could chill out with Colbert and rib him about how easy his job is now that she’s been on the other side of the desk.

“Pretty easy, not that hard,” she laughed when Colbert asked how difficult it was was Lawrence to step in for a night to host Jimmy Kimmel Live! in November as a favor.

When Lawrence inquired about some water, Colbert did her one better and busted out his secret stash of top-shelf Cuban rum and the two did a shot, after which J. Law revealed that she’s taking a year off from acting to work behind the scenes and help lobby against big money in politics. And then she did another shot, which is when things got really interesting.

Colbert noted that Lawrence had recently been “ill-used” in a recent incident in which Weinstein claimed the actress had once praised him as a defense against the avalanche of allegations of sexual misconduct and assault lodged against him by dozens of women. Pulling off her heels and curling up on the chair,  Lawrence said, “He is just that horrible ass boil that does not go away… you pop the ass boil,” as Colbert tossed his shoes aside as well. “He’s just the worst! Just when is it gonna end?”

Starting to appear super loose, Lawrence threw some side-eye at the camera and said she loves her job and adores acting while Colbert poured a third shot and marveled at the revelation that Lawrence has a fun vacation alter ego named “Gail” who seriously knows how to let her hair down. And then this happened. When Colbert pulled out a picture of Lawrence at pal Amy Schumer’s recent surprise wedding, the actress said she had the best time at the nuptials, but that Schumer informed her that she’d scared a few fellow guests.

Swearing that she could not tell the story, Lawrence then kind of told the story about how she and comedian/singer Bridgett Everett were chatting about how much they love their dogs and “I basically went too far in saying what I would do to make my dog happy. It didn’t translate.”

Down went the next shot. Lawrence also mentioned that her obsession with Larry David continues, but that the Curb Your Enthusiasm star is steadfastly not interested in flirting back with her. “I love rum,” she said, shrugging her shoulders and draining the cup. “Big rum guy [it] turns out!”

The fun continued after a break, when another shot spurred Lawrence to “officially” uninvite her haters from seeing Sparrow as well as gush about her undying love for the Spy Kids movie series. To be honest, things got a bit hazy after that, so just pour a stiff one and watch the clips below.
