Jennifer looked happy with her husband and child after a feminist crisis, as she claimed Cooke forced her to change her name and stay home to care for their son

New York City paparazzi captured a rare look at Jennifer Lawrence out and about and dressed down.

Lawrence and her husband Cooke Maroney were photographed, out walking with their 8-month-old son Cy while getting lunch out.

Lawrence was makeup-free, wearing her hair in a low ponytail. She dressed up in a navy jumpsuit and accessorized with cream Mary Jane ballet flats.

The outing came days after Lawrence spoke to The New York Times about how she had to fight her own fear of commitment

when it came to going through with her 2019 wedding to Maroney.

She said she related to the fear of commitment her character Lynsey experiences in the new film Causeway.

When you don’t fully know yourself, you have no idea where to put yourself,” she said. “And then I met my husband, and he was like, ‘Put yourself here.’ I was like, ‘That feels right, but what if it’s not?’”

Lawrence recognized she was having commitment anxiety, “and it was coming out of my performance in all these different creative ways, but I wasn’t conscious of it,” she said. “Then I went back, and when I’m home with my husband making this family, I’m so happy I stayed. I’m so happy I didn’t freak out and cancel the wedding and run away and go, ‘I’ll never be taken down!’”

She added that she took Maroney’s last name but did struggle a little with changing her name legally.

“God, I had such a feminist meltdown about changing my name because it’s my identity, it’s the first thing I’m given,” she said. She added that becoming famous complicated it, an she came to like sharing a different last name with her husband and son.

“I was born with the name Jennifer Lawrence, but that got taken from me when I was 21 and I never got it back,” she said. “So it didn’t feel like I was giving up anything. That name already belongs to them.”
