TV presenter Josie Gibson has revealed a surprising story from her past

she was once asked to leave Sir Elton John’s exclusive Academy Awards viewing party in Los Angeles.
The revelation came during a chat on This Morning ahead of this year’s highly anticipated Oscars ceremony, set to take place on Sunday.
Josie’s Unexpected Oscars Party Exit

While discussing the upcoming awards show with co-host Alison Hammond,

Josie shared her embarrassing encounter at Elton John’s famous AIDS Foundation Academy Award Party.

The conversation was sparked when it was mentioned that Bank of Dave’s Dave Fishwick would be reporting on the Oscars for This Morning next week.
Josie then casually dropped the bombshell:
“Well, when I went [to the Oscars], I was kicked out of Elton John’s party.”
Curious to know more, Alison pressed her for details, and Josie explained what had gone wrong. While she didn’t specify the exact year of the incident, she admitted that it all came down to an issue with her wristband.

“I messed with my wristband, and they couldn’t read it, so I was asked to leave,” she confessed, referring to the security bracelets required to gain access to the star-studded event.
Although the mishap led to an awkward moment for Josie, she took it in stride, laughing about the experience on live television.
Inside Elton John’s Exclusive Oscars Bash
Elton John’s annual Academy Awards viewing party is one of the most prestigious events held on Oscar night. First launched in 1993 at the Maple Drive Restaurant, the party serves as a major fundraiser for the Elton John AIDS Foundation. What started as a smaller event raising $300,000 for charity has since grown into a multi-million-dollar fundraiser.

In recent years, the glamorous bash has taken place at the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles and, since 2014, at West Hollywood Park. The event is attended by some of the biggest names in entertainment, with past guests including Miley Cyrus, Joan Collins, Ed Sheeran, Victoria Beckham, Donatella Versace, and Sharon Osbourne.
The charity event has continued to grow in significance, now raising around $8 million annually to support the fight against HIV/AIDS.
What to Expect from This Year’s Elton John Oscars Party
This year, the Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party will once again take place at West Hollywood Park. Hosting duties will be shared by Sir Elton John and his husband David Furnish, alongside celebrity co-hosts Sheryl Lee Ralph, Jean Smart, Neil Patrick Harris, and David Burtka.

Adding to the excitement, singer Chappell Roan is set to perform at the event. The rising star expressed her enthusiasm about the opportunity, sharing on social media:
“I’m absolutely glowing as I write this!! I’m so honored to announce that I’ll be performing at the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Academy Awards! Elton and his husband, David, have been incredible guiding lights for me this year, showing me a love that has truly helped me through.”
She went on to highlight the importance of the cause, stating:
“I’m deeply passionate about supporting the queer community in every way I can, and I’m so proud to be part of an organization that fights for equality and provides lifesaving access to care for queer communities. I can’t wait to bring an unabashedly ☆gay☆ performance to such an iconic night!”

The Oscars Are Just Around the Corner
The 97th Academy Awards will take place on Sunday, March 2, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. This year’s ceremony will be hosted by talk show legend and comedian Conan O’Brien.
British talent is well-represented among the nominees, with Ralph Fiennes receiving a nod for Conclave and Cynthia Erivo recognized for her role in Wicked. Felicity Jones is also in the running for The Brutalist, while the team behind Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl is hoping to take home the Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film.

Elton John himself is also up for an Academy Award, having received a nomination for his original song Never Too Late.
As Hollywood gears up for its biggest night of the year, Josie Gibson’s unexpected Oscars party story serves as a reminder that even TV stars aren’t immune to a little red-carpet drama.
