Justin Baldoni has recently made headlines once again by sharing new details from his ongoing legal battle with actress Blake Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds.
Baldoni, best known for his role in *It Ends With Us*, has launched a website titled *The Lawsuit Info*,
where he published both an amended complaint in his case against Lively, Reynolds, her PR firm,
and the *New York Times*, along with a timeline of alleged events related to the dispute.
The controversy began after rumors swirled about a potential on-set feud during the filming of *It Ends With Us*, which is adapted from Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel.
The legal back-and-forth between the two actors intensified when Lively filed a sexual harassment lawsuit in December 2023.
In it, she alleged that Baldoni, along with film producer Jamey Heath, made several inappropriate comments and engaged in misconduct that created a hostile work environment. The complaint also accused Baldoni of retaliation and intentional infliction of emotional distress, detailing numerous issues that arose on set.
Baldoni’s newly launched website includes a variety of documents, including emails and text messages, which he claims support his case. These communications, some of which had not been shared publicly before, highlight interactions between him, Lively, and Reynolds leading up to and during filming. One notable text, allegedly sent on April 8, 2023, shows Lively discussing a rooftop scene from the movie. She reportedly told Baldoni, “I can send you my pass at the roof or just read with you when we get together next week.” The text continued, mentioning her “flirty and yummy” approach to the scene, and how she hoped it would come across as spicy and playful. She further suggested that she could act out the scene in person to ensure the chemistry between their characters would be properly conveyed.
Additionally, Baldoni shared another set of text messages between him and Reynolds. In these, Reynolds allegedly expresses his excitement about the project and his admiration for Baldoni. “I’m excited for you to work together,” Reynolds wrote. “I’m excited for Blake to crack open her creative piggy bank with someone as dynamic as you. This is gonna be INCREDIBLE… I happen to adore you, Justin.”
After Baldoni’s website launch, his lawyer, Bryan Freedman, addressed the media, claiming that the decision to amend the lawsuit was a natural progression due to the emergence of new evidence. Freedman argued that the fresh proof demonstrated that Lively and her team had “colluded for months to destroy reputations” by spreading false accusations and manipulating communications. He also emphasized the role of *The New York Times* in amplifying these claims.
Lively’s legal team, however, has not taken kindly to Baldoni’s actions. They have accused Freedman of attempting to influence public opinion and prejudice the jury pool by making inflammatory statements. In a letter obtained by Fox News Digital, Lively’s team warned that Freedman’s comments could damage both her case and the reputation of other involved parties. They raised concerns about the potential harm to the legal process and asked for a gag order to prevent further media statements that might taint the upcoming trial.
At the heart of the legal dispute lies a series of serious allegations from Lively, which include claims about inappropriate behavior on set, such as the discussion of personal and explicit topics that were reportedly not part of the original script. Lively’s complaint described a variety of boundary-crossing incidents, including unwanted discussions about her body and past trauma. These claims led to a meeting with the production team, where they allegedly agreed to address these concerns moving forward.
In response, Baldoni filed his own lawsuit in January 2024, maintaining that Lively’s accusations were “false” and part of a broader attempt to repair her image after her controversial handling of the film’s press tour. Baldoni also pointed to the significant media attention surrounding the case, which has kept the issue in the public eye.
As the legal battle continues, both sides are preparing for a court date set for Monday, which will address Lively’s sexual harassment claims as well as discussions around a possible gag order. The unfolding drama surrounding *It Ends With Us* has captivated fans and the public alike, as new details continue to emerge, shedding light on the behind-the-scenes tensions of the film’s production.
