Justin Baldoni has launched a website dedicated to defending himself against the sexual harassment allegations made by actress Blake Lively.
This new platform, first reported by TMZ, provides further insight into the ongoing legal battle between the two,
with Baldoni sharing critical details and evidence related to the allegations.
In January 2024, Baldoni filed a $400 million defamation and extortion lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and Lively’s publicist Leslie Sloane.
The lawsuit, which was amended shortly after its initial filing, centers around Lively’s claims that Baldoni sexually harassed her during the production of the 2024 film *It Ends With Us*.
As part of his defense, Baldoni’s newly launched website features a comprehensive 168-page document that includes a timeline of key events, texts, emails, and other communications exchanged between Baldoni, Lively, and Reynolds throughout the production process.
The website’s documents reveal various never-before-seen communications, some of which offer a glimpse into the nature of the professional relationship between the actors and the director. Among the most notable revelations are text exchanges that suggest a more lighthearted and collegial dynamic on set. For example, in one message from April 2023, Lively reportedly told Baldoni, “if you knew me (in person) longer you’d have a sense of how flirty and yummy the ball busting will play. It’s my love language. Spicy and playfully bold, never with teeth….”
Additionally, another text from February 2023 shows Reynolds praising Baldoni’s work and expressing his excitement for Lively’s involvement in the film. “I’m excited for you to work together. I’m excited for Blake to crack open her creative piggy bank with someone as dynamic as you. This is gonna be INCREDIBLE. I happen to adore you, Justin,” Reynolds allegedly wrote.
Further messages posted on the site depict Lively’s willingness to work closely with Baldoni, with one from June 2023 where Lively invited him to her trailer while she was pumping breast milk. “I’m just pumping in my trailer if you wanna work on our lines,” Lively reportedly texted, with Baldoni responding affirmatively.
Baldoni’s website appears to be a direct response to several allegations made by Lively, particularly her claims that Baldoni made sexually inappropriate comments on set, including remarks about her postpartum body. Lively first made these accusations in a December 20, 2023, court filing with the California Civil Rights Department, accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment during the filming of *It Ends With Us*. In her lawsuit, she also alleged that Baldoni and others launched a smear campaign against her to damage her reputation.
Baldoni’s new platform also includes evidence of his communications with the film’s intimacy coordinator, who was brought in to ensure a safe and professional working environment for the cast. These communications allegedly show Baldoni’s attempts to address Lively’s concerns about her comfort on set. In one exchange, Baldoni reportedly expressed his fear of saying the “wrong thing” to Lively, following backlash from fans about her costume for a specific scene. “I’m f–king terrified,” he allegedly said in a text to a colleague about the situation.
As the legal battle continues, the release of these messages aims to refute Lively’s claims, offering a different perspective on the nature of their working relationship. However, representatives for Lively, Reynolds, and Baldoni did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the newly released materials.
The legal proceedings are set to unfold further, with Lively’s initial complaint escalating to a formal lawsuit filed in New York Federal Court on December 31, 2023. As part of the ongoing case, Lively has alleged that Baldoni’s actions were part of a broader campaign to undermine her career and personal reputation.
This legal dispute is still in its early stages, with no immediate resolution in sight. As both sides prepare for what could be a lengthy court battle, Baldoni’s website provides an intriguing, albeit controversial, glimpse into the director’s perspective on the allegations against him. Whether this new evidence will sway public opinion or influence the outcome of the case remains to be seen.
