Katie Price Fears She Might Be Going Through Menopause While Trying for Baby Number Six
Reality TV star Katie Price has expressed concerns that she may be experiencing the early signs of menopause as she continues her journey to conceive her sixth child.
The 46-year-old former glamour model has been open about her desire to expand her family and even documented her IVF process in the documentary Katie Price: Making Babies,
which was filmed in 2023. However, her latest health concerns have left her questioning whether menopause could be affecting her ability to conceive.
Katie Price Opens Up About Possible Menopause Symptoms
During a candid conversation with her sister Sophie on The Katie Price Show podcast,
Katie revealed she has been struggling with unusual symptoms that have sparked fears she may be entering menopause.
“I’m not sleeping at night, and I’m normally a really good sleeper, so something’s going on,” she explained to listeners. Concerned about the sudden changes in her body, she shared her plans to get a blood test to determine whether she might be experiencing early menopause.
“I don’t know how it all works, but I’m still having my periods,” she added, highlighting her uncertainty about the process. One of the most alarming symptoms she mentioned was waking up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat, leading her to wonder whether she was “going through the change.”
Doctors Previously Warned Her About Menopause Risks
Katie’s fears about menopause are not entirely new. While filming Katie Price: Making Babies, she visited the Agora fertility clinic alongside her then-fiancé, Carl Woods. At the time, medical professionals warned her that her body was already showing signs of reproductive aging.
Gynaecologist and medical director Dr. Carole Gilling-Smith assessed Katie’s fertility and informed her that her egg reserve was low. “For Katie, the first sign of ageing is coming from her ovaries, and that is a big blow—something some women find hard to accept,” Dr. Gilling-Smith explained.
She also noted that Katie’s hormone levels suggested she could enter menopause within a few years, making her journey to conceive naturally or through IVF increasingly challenging.
Katie’s Journey to Motherhood
Katie is already a mother to five children: Harvey, 22, from her relationship with Dwight Yorke; Junior, 19, and Princess, 17, whom she shares with ex-husband Peter Andre; and Jett, 11, and Bunny, 10, from her marriage to Kieran Hayler. Despite already having a large family, she has been vocal about her desire for another baby.
