Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has cut ties with a major ESPN personality in response to rising tension between the two. 

Ahead of Game 1 of the 2024 NBA Finals between the Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks, LeBron addressed his relationship with Kyrie Irving.

He praised him, both as a teammate and player, and expressed his desire to play with him again. 

ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins blasted LeBron in response to his comments. Why? Perkins, the former NBA forward, slammed the NBA veteran for making Kyrie’s moment about himself. 

“Here we go again, Bron weaseling his way into somebody else’s moment…This is not about you! Your team is at home,” said Perkins.

“This is about the Mavs and the Celtics, but yet you’re so mad and disappointed that you’re not Kyrie Irving’s running mate anymore. Here we go again.” 

LeBron has since made his thoughts on Perkins very clear. 

LeBron is cutting ties with Kendrick Perkins. The NBA superstar has unfollowed Perkins on all major social media platforms. 

“LeBron James (KingJames) is no longer following Kendrick Perkins,” NBA Alerts announced. 

It’s a clear indication that he’s no longer willing to speak with the ESPN NBA analyst moving forward. 

Perkins making enemies with the biggest NBA star could come back to haunt him.
