Meghan is not only clashing with Kate but also mocking Charlotte like a commoner, leaving the little girl feeling insecure and self-conscious

Just weeks before the royal wedding, tensions escalated between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton,

stemming from disagreements over the choice of a suitable outfit for the young bridesmaid, Princess Charlotte.

The relationship between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton has always been a hot topic in the press.

Although Meghan was in a similar position as Kate – an outsider to the royal family – when she married Prince Harry, the two seemed unable to build a good friendship.

Author Tom Bower, in the book “Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors”, revealed more about the conflicts between the two royal brides.

An unnamed source quoted by Mr. Bower said that Meghan made “unfriendly” comparisons between Princess Charlotte and Ivy,

the daughter of Jessica Mulroney – Meghan’s close friend.

At the time of the wedding in May 2018, the press reported that Meghan had made Kate cry over a disagreement regarding bridesmaid outfits. However, Prince Harry later clarified that it was Meghan who was in tears and Kate sent flowers to apologize. According to Tom Bower’s book, Princess Kate was feeling “exhausted” after giving birth to Prince Louis in April 2018. The source added that Kate was “too exhausted” to argue with Meghan about whether the bridesmaids should wear tights. According to royal protocol, the answer is yes.

However, Meghan – who is said to be quite tough – insisted that the young bridesmaids did not need to wear tights. Meghan’s decision was supported by Jessica Mulroney. The book also mentioned that the two brides disagreed about the length of Princess Charlotte’s dress. Kate thought it was “too short and ill-fitting”.

Meghan’s unwillingness to “compromise” upset Kate. Three years later, in an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan had the opportunity to share her side of the story. The Duchess of Sussex explained: “She (Kate) was upset about something, but she acknowledged it and apologised. She even bought me flowers. A few days before the wedding, she was upset about something – yes, it was about bridesmaid dresses, and it made me cry. That really hurt me. And I thought, given everything that was going on in the days leading up to the wedding, it didn’t make sense not to do what everyone else was doing. Everyone was trying to support me, they knew what had happened with my dad and all that. It wasn’t a confrontation, and I actually thought… I don’t think it would be fair for her to go into the details of it, because she’s apologised.”
