Viewers Criticise Alison Hammond’s Comments

While the organisation tips themselves were a point of debate, what truly ignited backlash was Alison Hammond’s reference to Meghan Markle as “Our Meghan.” This remark triggered strong reactions, with some viewers interpreting it as a divisive comment.

One person angrily wrote online: “ARRR Meghan..?!! Hell no!!” while another questioned why Markle was being criticised, responding: “Why is OUR Meghan getting slated? Aww f** off.”*

Another viewer accused Hammond of making the discussion political, commenting: “Alison slipping in the divisive racist card about OUR Meghan! What is her objective? This Morning should be a prejudice-free zone. Unprofessional.”

The backlash continued, with some branding the segment unnecessary. One critic stated: “Pointless segment – the only reason Meghan’s prop fridge is so tidy is because it only contains the ingredients she uses for that one episode.
