A lot has changed for Meghan Markle since marrying Prince Harry. As well as becoming a mum to their three-month-old son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor,
the US born former actress now resides permanently in the UK. Meghan and Harry recently moved out of Kensington Palace and into Frogmore Cottage where they’re raising their son.
Frogmore Cottage is a Grade-II listed building made up of five separate housing units.
The house went through extensive £3 million renovations before the royals moved in and they are thought to have had a huge influence over what changes were made.
Before meeting Harry, Meghan’s living conditions were quite different. The Duchess – who was famous for starring in US drama Suits
– reportedly lived in a stylish four-bedroom house in Los Angeles with her ex-husband Trevor Engelson.
The colonial-style home in Hancock Park, which the couple are believed to have lived in during their marriage, just went on the market for $1.8million, which is equivalent to £1.5million.
The LA home – which covers more than 2,000 square feet of space – has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen with an eat-in breakfast area, and garden which is perfect for the hot California summers days.
The home has been decorated to a high standard, with posh modern furniture.
On the ground floor buyers will find a huge light filled living room, which opens to a dining and family room.
The dining area looks out onto the patio, which contains a cute al fresco dining area, and leads to the spacious garden.
As well as this, buyers will find a big kitchen with a breakfast area.
There is also a downstairs bathroom and toilet, which the new home owner will find comes in handy when entertaining guests, as they won’t have to go upstairs in the main home area to use the facilities.
In one bedroom, there is a huge adjoining wardrobe, which will be perfect for all the fashionistas just like Meghan.
One of the three bathrooms has been decked out in stunning white and grey tiles, wth gold taps and door handles.
On Realtor.com, the description reads: “Rare colonial Hancock Park charmer with so much sunshine! Abundant off street parking! Open floor plan downstairs amazing for entertaining.
“Park like grassy yard with porch, al fresco dining area, garage. Spacious, open, and airy in amazing central location! Buyer to verify square footage.”
The Duchess of Sussex owned the spacious home, which was built in 1924, while she was married to producer Trevor between 2011 and 2013, TMZ reports.
Eventually they split and she moved to Toronto to star as paralegal Rachel Zane in Suits. During this time, she lived in a stunning property and would often share pictures online giving a glimpse inside her house.
