Meghan Markle has been advised that she “needs to be more adventurous” if she wants her brand to succeed.
Yesterday, just a couple of hours before Trooping the Colour took place, and before the Princess of Wales’ return to public life following her cancer diagnosis,
a pal of the Sussexes shared some snaps online displaying some brand new American Riviera Orchard items.
Meghan soft-launched her lifestyle brand back in March with a swish new Instagram page, sleek logo, and rustic-looking promotional video.
She also launched a website with an email sign-up option, but the brand has been quiet ever since.
The only movement fans have seen from ARO was when Meghan gifted 50 celebrities and influencers some strawberry jam, with Kris Jenner even receiving a hamper.
And now a pal of the Sussexes has received a new item, which had a very very small batch.
Polo player and close friend of Prince Harry, Nacho Figueras, took to social media yesterday morning share that he had been sent some American Riveria Orchard produce. Nacho, who has been friends with the Duke of Sussex since 2007, took to Instagram to share photos of a new jam and some dog biscuits, which were both beautifully presented in glass containers.
The raspberry jam was “2 of 2”, meaning the batch was very small. And now Meghan has been advised by a royal commentator that she needs to be more “adventurous” if she wants her brand to be successful.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said: “Apparently two more products, raspberry jam and dog biscuits, have just been launched. To do this on the same day as Trooping the Colour shows a very naive approach to marketing as they know journalists keep an eye on what they do.
“Nacho Figueras, Harry’s polo playing friend, posted that he’d received jam and dog biscuits and posted photos. Whereas cynics might say the raspberry sums up the Sussexes destructive attitude to the royal family rather well, on the jar it said two of two. If she wants her brand to succeed, Meghan better be more adventurous than this!”
